Very well done little bossfight. The patterns are cool and quite readable. Nice visual and sound effects also.

Very cute and cozy game, and quite tricky at times! I really enjoyed it! :D

Heck yea another Flower Man reference!!

Pretty cool short game :) The whole game has this horror-like feel and the main character sprite is adequately creepy and unnerving. Good take on the theme!

Very cool game! :) The visuals and sounds are very polished and the intro is very cute!! I could not finish the game on a trackpad unfortunately ahah

The platforming mechanics are really well done! The two abilities complement each other really well. A simple restart keybind would help a lot by letting you replay the game without reloading the page.

Very good proof of concept! The rolling mechanics are very polished. Since there is only one level, I had a lot of fun speedrunning it and trying to come up with a strat to do the spike section at full speed. Great job! :D

Pretty fun game :) It could do with a few sound effects to make hits land more clearly. I died a couple times not knowing what hit me.

Glad you liked it! :D

Thank you! Yes, it's inspired by that fight (hence, the theme "Flower Man" -> "Candy Man")! And don't worry, it's a simple high score so the end is whenever you want to stop. Thanks again for playing! :D

Thank you so much for playing and for recording it!!! :D I appreciate the perspective from a new player, I can see that I should have clarified orange objects can be dashed through.

You're right, I forgot to put the movement controls in the description :P I hope you enjoyed it anyway! I would have liked to add a "partial" dash for tapping space but I didn't have time for it.

Thanks! :)

The last levels are very tight but very fun. Nice job! :)

Such an impressive entry!! The combat system is so good and would be really fun to master! It would be handy to keep a list of the hints you've received as a reference, but other than that, it's basically a perfect game already!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!! Yeah, after the jam I'm updating the game for more hints and ways to analyze a run asap. I don't want shooting randomly to be a valid strategy. Games always feel easier when you're the one making them ^^" I hope you still got some enjoyment out of it!

Thanks for the feedback! :) Yeah you're right, there should have been more clues for the player. I was working on a playback feature to see how a run played out but it didn't make it into the game, which would help analyze what happened. I'll update the game post-jam when the rating period ends. We have a little hint that says the monster teleports away to safety after killing, but it's not very noticeable. We should also add that the monster does not kill while it's in the light. I'll update the description with some hints for now.

Thanks for playing, I hope you will get some enjoyment out of it with some updates :D

Really cool game :) At first I was confused because I didn't realise I could hover over the people to learn their real names (my fault for not reading the guide on the main menu), but after that everything clicked. I like all the different things to check. it would be nice for an endless game if there was some progression of the mechanics to shake things up and make things harder over time.

The atmosphere is really well done! It was cool exploring around, and I got to level 4 before I found an ending. There seem to be multiple ways to go and I wonder what was there. Overall the feeling of exploration and of the unknown is very cool, great job :)

Thanks for playing!! Not bad, I don't blame you for not getting it on the first try, the mechanics are quite obscure on purpose :) I hope you enjoyed!! :D

The interactable desktop is very well done! It took me a while to understand how to hack stuff, but after reading the description it was clear. But it seems like even by doing the hacks as fast as possible the battery drains very quickly, so maybe I'm doing something wrong. Very cool game!

ahah lol, you got lucky!! I hope you enjoyed the very deep 6-second experience! :D

That was very cute! I'm sad that there isn't a rating for narrative because this would have killed it. The gameplay was very polished although i didnt find a way to use the tools, but the game is very playable even without them. Seriously impressive for a jam entry. Awesome job!!

Ah, apologies, I assumed you could get the full size picture from itch, but it seems to store only up to 100x100 resolution. You can download it from Discord, since it's the same there, and should be available at a decent resolution: https://cdn.discordapp.com/avatars/[...].webp?size=512. I think the picture itself is quite blurry since it's pretty old, but it should be ok. Let me know if that works for you :)

(1 edit)

Sorry for replying so late, I've been pretty busy recently :( I didn't get around to trying the updated game yet, but the hall of fame scene was genuinely very sweet, it made me really happy to see it c': It would be cool to have Napo (the cat in my pfp) memorialized in the game and you have my approval to use the picture however you like, but of course you don't have to add it if you didn't plan on it. Either way, thank you so much!

Yay! :) Of course, and thank you again for making the game! I may go back and try to beat my time eventually too

I really like this game, the art and the music are amazing! The attack patterns are varied and tough to dodge, and I like the choice of actions, It leads to very tense moments. I enjoyed it a lot!

Very very cool entry! I managed to get to level 2 a few times but i never completed it 3: It's very tough! sometimes the kick hitbox can be a bit weird but i realised that it's got more range than it looks which is nice. I loved the music too, when it got to that second half it's always so exhilirating cause you know the exit is close. Nice work!

Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it :DD

Thanks for playing!! :3

Thank you for playing :DD The ghost hearts should be capped, so you don't get insanely huge hands.. I didn't think many people would get softlocked that way, I'm sorry :c We'll push an update when the jam is over to fix that issue.
I hope you enjoyed it!

Really cool incremental game :) Like others have pointed out, the progression is a bit slow. Once you get the faster cards upgrades, it really gets fun! I still wish you got a few more of those upgrades faster, especially once you get your second factory. The sound effects are very nice and the music is relaxing, with a touch of urgency that I really like! Well done overall!

Extremely cool idea! Trying to find the best character out of the cards you're dealt is very addicting. In my best run I managed to get to level 13 before getting one-shot :p I only wish there was a pause between the transitions so I could properly understand what happened. The music is also very good, props to the composer!

I managed to beat the game!! My final time was 6:43 :) It's very fun once you get used to the controls and the speed. I noticed the coyote time this time, I don't know why last time it felt like it wasn't there. Great job overall!

Cool game! i love going fasst :)) The accelleration feels good and the maze feels huge. I finished with 98.66261 seconds spare, but i wish i could still run around to get all the coins i missed. Great job :)

Awesome art, and the concept is so wholesome... getting past the tutorial was kind of weird, but the game itself is enjoyable to play :) The last level seems a bit strict, I couldn't get it to pass, but maybe I'm missing something

Thank you for the high praise!! We had a lot of fun making the gameplay enjoyable, so I'm glad you found it fun :) our girls should kiss

Awesome game! :33 i like big ben
I sucked at getting the treasure room but was able to beat the final fight after a few tries. The UI scaling is a bit small but it's manageable... I really like the concept of needing a time travelling license or you'll disintegrate. the witch is very cute. nice job!!

Very very tough but it's fun! I managed to just get past the green button, but I'll come back later and try to beat it!! With some input buffering and coyote time the gameplay would be a 10/10
