I'm really glad you enjoyed! Thanks so much for playing our game :D

Regarding the setting... well, all of the dev team are neurodivergent, but we have wildly different tolerance levels to anything club/rave-like that resembles the setting in Zoomorphism. Still, these things can be pretty confusing, isolating, and violating, no matter how well-prepared you are. With aspects like loud music, there's a fine line between "so loud you can feel it all through your body" and "too loud to think about anything". It kind of takes you out of yourself, and the experience is super surreal. It's ambiguous to whether or not the protagonist of Zoomorphism has been to a party like this before, but in any case they're really, really not in the right mind for it. In this way, I think what qualifies as a bad end will really depend on the player's own experience and expectations for the game. We tried to keep it ambiguous in development and I'm glad it carried through; I'm also glad it made you feel seen :)

Absolutely fantastic! I really wish it were longer. What a unique premise, and a really nice setting too. Visually, really really gorgeous, the prose was great...  very reminiscent of a classic sci-fi short story. I also thought the internal monologue interjections were a good touch. 10/10

I appreciate the dedication to working entirely in paint, giving it a very surreal and SBAHJ-type feel

Very distinct, and I liked how you worked with the limited environment - the art was a good level of unsettling. I'd love to see this finished, as I think it would really benefit from more SFX!

Such a lovely and charming game, I really liked the visual style, as well as the mix of 2d and 3d assets - very well thought out. The music was also fantastic. Great job!

I loved the intrigue you created in the setting, and the visuals were absolutely fantastic. I really enjoyed the interactability as well - point and click is always super fun, and you executed it well! (although, the darkness of the setting and high amount of visual noise makes it a little bit difficult to distinguish interactable objects in the rooms - including things necessary to plot progression - so I would suggest making them stand out a little bit more)

Thanks so much for playing and for your kind words! We wanted to create something anxiety-inducing, so I'm really glad it came through!

Thank you for enjoying our game! We're hoping to work on expanding the world outwards from Zoomorphism (not necessarily in terms of a sequel), so please stay tuned!

Thank you for your kind words! All of the backgrounds are constructed from pictures that I took of different environments in the city that I live in, and they were a lot of fun to work on :)

This is such a kind and thoughtful comment, thank you so much!

I'm really glad it works as a horror game; I feel like psychological horror can be quite hit-or-miss sometimes, depending on the player's mental resilience to the themes common in the genre. We gave a lot of thought to how we could create the kind of immersive, oppressive atmosphere that is necessary, and settled on something quite aesthetically simple. From there, it's on the audience to fill in the gaps. It's conceptually the same as coming across a dark room, and trying to find your way around through the impressions of objects... The writing does a lot of heavy lifting when there's less going on on screen, so I'm really glad that we could make your skin crawl. Zoomorphism was a lot of fun to write, and I really enjoyed giving all of the characters very distinct voices.

I hope that you continue to enjoy our work! Thanks for playing!

thank you so much for enjoying our game! I was really inspired by "a midsummer night's dream" when conceptualising, and the ideas of forced "transformation" and nothing being as it seems.
the protagonist also dehumanises everyone around them, whether out of stress or predjudice... they're definitely a very unreliable narrator and they were super fun to write!

i hope that you enjoy the final chapter when it releases!

this is such a kind comment, thank you so much! I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed it :)

I think for the setting and how it relates to the story, a big theme that I set out wanting to write about was displacement, assimilation, and climate refugees - a world where collapse happens slowly, and society evolves selective resilient traits (like collectivism) to preserve itself. but i think that a lot of the feelings contained are very universal, as you've said. I also wanted to draw on concepts of death and reincarnation/ finding life again after crisis. If you're at all a cautious, or a paranoid person, or if you at all want to preserve the bits of yourself that make you You... it can be so hard.
The game is actually to be updated with an extra scene and a branched ending that "completes" the arc of the story (as well as more Sol moments), so please look out for that! (I hope that we can stick the landing) :D
