I think the idea of following different animals with unique abilities is really charming, and it feels like a great way to explore the effects of climate change from a different perspective. The puzzle adventure concept has a lot of potential, especially if each animal’s abilities encourage players to think about how different species adapt to their environments.

My biggest suggestion would be to provide more detail about the gameplay and development plan going forward. Showing more of the core mechanics, puzzle progression, and production roadmap will make it much easier for others to understand the vision and see how the project is coming together. I think this has a strong foundation, and I’d love to see more of it in the next sprint.

I really like how creative and different this project is, it stands out from a lot of the other entries by focusing on collaboration and systems thinking instead of traditional gameplay. The hopepunk aesthetic and tabletop format also fit the message really well and give the project a unique identity.

One suggestion I’d have is to make sure the core gameplay stays as clear and approachable as possible, especially for players who aren’t familiar with tabletop RPGs or collaborative storytelling games. A little more structure or guidance during play could make it easier for new players to understand the mechanics while still keeping the creative freedom that makes the concept so interesting.

I think this is a really unique concept, and I like that it explores a side of climate change and environmental damage that isn’t often discussed in games. The setting and story have a lot of emotional potential, especially with the laboratory gameplay and the relationship between the player and their cousin.

My biggest suggestion would be to keep the scope as focused as possible. There are a lot of systems and story moments planned, so concentrating on making one gameplay loop feel polished and satisfying will probably have a bigger impact than trying to include every planned feature. I think this project has a strong foundation, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it comes together over the rest of the jam.

I really like the atmosphere and direction you’re going for, the idea of exploring a restored ecosystem while uncovering its past is unique and fits the Climate Jam theme really well. One thing I’d encourage is making the Echo Lens and puzzles a bigger part of the gameplay, so players are actively discovering the story instead of mostly reading it. I also think keeping the scope focused on one polished level will help the final experience feel much stronger. Overall, this has a lot of potential, and I’m excited to see how it develops over the rest of the jam.

I think this is a really charming idea. It takes a topic that most people don’t know much about and turns it into something approachable and interesting. I also like that your choices have visible effects on the environment, it gives players a reason to care about making the right decisions.

One thing I’d love to see is a little more variety in the gameplay between identifying plants, just to keep each day feeling fresh. Other than that, I think it’s a thoughtful concept with a strong message and a nice, hopeful direction.

I like the satirical premise! it has a lot of potential, and the contrast between nature and the data center is a fun idea. The pixel art direction and 8-bit soundtrack also seem like a great fit for the tone you’re going for.

My only suggestion would be to expand a bit on the gameplay loop beyond collecting items. Adding a few details about enemies, abilities, or progression would make it easier to see what makes the metroidvania experience unique. Overall, it’s a solid concept with a clear theme.

I really like this concept! The tower defense gameplay mixed with ecosystem building feels unique, and I like that the game focuses on giving players hope instead of just highlighting environmental problems. The post-level ecosystem simulation is also a really nice touch since it makes your choices feel meaningful.

One small suggestion would be to include a concrete example of how plant synergies work so it’s easier to picture what makes the gameplay stand out. Overall, though, this is a really solid and well-thought-out proposal.
