How does the game fit the theme?
The game incorporates the theme of "Trust no one" by giving the player a choice between two identical-looking people, one of whom is an alien doppelganger. The player cannot trust anyone until they check the vitals and choose who to eliminate. P.S. Plot twist in the end!

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I didn't create the music, SFX, or font. All credit is given on the itch.io page with links and names.

Very cool and fun game I really enjoy these type of games and this is done very well.

one thing maybe... at the beginning just say who do you wanna eliminate cause I though I need to save the human and pressed on it just to find out pressing is actually shooting LOL.

but apart of that I like the game and its really nicely done!

Good job.

Developer

thanks for the feedback, i rushed through the tutorial part of the game as i was busy with school for the last few days of the jam so i just added some text and submitted it lol. imma keep that in mind for next time!

glad u liked the game!

The game is actually fun I didn't know what to do at first. But then I knew how to play. The game however from what I played doesn't really match the theme.

Good game tho.

Developer

well the premise is that u cannot trust anyone, you dont know who is the alien and the plot twist just expands on that idea. thanks for playing tho i will keep ur feedback in mind!

Awesome "That's Not My Neighbor" vibes and that plot twist at the end caught me completely off guard! super fun entry overall.

The "That's Not My Neighbor" style investigation loop and unexpected plot twist at the end are brilliant—basing the gameplay on analyzing health metrics fits the theme perfectly! Having randomly generated stats and characters gives it such cool replayability.

A few QoL ideas to make the deduction flow even smoother:

- Protocol Reference & Tutorial: Make the "Read Protocol" button more prominent, or allow players to keep the reference sheet open side-by-side so they don't have to memorize baseline metrics.

- Audio Loops: Smooth out the background music loop transition so it doesn't abruptly restart.

- Stat Diversity: Expand the pool of possible metric variations post-jam so runs feel even more distinct.

Super fun entry with great speedrunning potential! If you get a chance, I'd really appreciate your thoughts on my jam project as well: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4953523

Absolute banger game with very intuitive gamepaly loop it is also like 100% sync with the theme ... with cool idea but music was weird  it badly looped i could feel how it just ends and goes back to normal. but overall good game

Developer

Thanks for playing! Ill keep the advice in mind for next time

Oh my god I loved this game! I did not see that ending coming-

I've gotta say the idea of basing this around those metrics is pretty neat. I attempted my runs without referring to the protocol to try to give myself more of a challenge and it was beatable in a few runs, fun game :)

Developer

thanks!

it was fun to play, kina reminds me of That's Not My Neighbor. Cool!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Your game is so much fun

Submitted(+1)

cool game!! i really liked the story and the plot twist at the end!!! the game is a bit learny, needing to know what "normal" metrics look like, but i got the hang of it, i was able to beat the game!!!

Developer

thanks for playing! your game is really cool too!

If only the body temp was measured in American units (Eagles per donut) I could have gotten them all! Nice little game, could be a cool one to speed run if there's some randomization in the mix.

Developer

Actually everything from the characters to the stats are all randomly generated on the fly each time but there is js so less options and i wasnt able to fine tune it properly. thanks for playing the game tho!

Cool concept! Would be nice if the read protocol screen was available while you were playing so that you don't have to memorize everything :)

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Looking back that would've been a great idea lmao

Pretty fun, it would be great to have a little tutorial to learn to spot anomalies !

Developer (1 edit)

There is a tutorial in the Read Protocol button in the top right but i think i shouldve made that a bit more obvious. Thanks for the feedback!
