That was very fun and super polished! And the art is beautiful. I did find it way too easy after getting the hang of it. The minigame lengths are very generous. The one where your eyes deceive you and the cards look like they've swapped are easy to bypass by just looking at the cards before they swap and hovering over the one you want. And most curses are easily bypassed by picking a card as fast as you can. The difficulty definitely needs to be tweaked, but this is a great entry nonetheless. Good job!
Thank youu so much for the detailed feedback! Really glad you enjoyed the art, polish, and overall vibe!
And yeah, once you get the hang of the minigames, some of them definitely become easier to bypass than we intended 😂 The timing and difficulty are good points for us to revisit.
Really appreciate you playing and taking the time to write all this!
Really polished little card game with a super strong vibe. The art is clean, the music fits perfectly, and the opening cutscene sets the mood in a way that feels way above jam level. The dev clearly put a lot of care into the presentation. The minigames between rounds are a fun touch too, even if some players found them a bit confusing or a bit too generous with timing. The only thing that pops up a lot is clarity: some folks weren’t sure about certain mechanics, and a few interactions can soft lock if the wrong combo happens. But overall it’s charming, stylish, and very well put together. (pls play my game)
Thank youu so much for the detailed feedback! Really glad you liked the art, music, opening cutscene and the minigames!
The clarity and soft-lock points are definitely useful though, especially for a jam game with a lot of little mechanics going on. We’ll keep those in mind.
And yes, we’ll check out your game too 😂
opening cutscene set the mood wwwonderfully, awesome job there
i was never great at card games,, but the various minigames in between are a really fun touch too!
has anyone mentioned caravan palace yet? anyway great job yall!
Ayy Catastrophe gang is back 😂 Thank youu!! Really glad you liked the opening cutscene and the minigames! And Caravan Palace is actually a pretty cool comparison 👀 Appreciate you playing our Catastrophe!
Really polished card gameplay including all those mini games and overall visual design. This is some high-quality work. Paw-some job!
Thank youu!! Really glad you enjoyed the card gameplay, minigames, and visuals! Really appreciate it <3
Awesome card design, I really love this game! :D
Thank youu!! Really glad you liked the card designs and the game :D
Very cute game!
I like the artwork, very well developed. I could hear the music before I even opened the game because it matched what I thought would fit perfectly!
The theme connection is a little less strong than the rest of the rated categories in my opinion, but thats ok :)
The gameplay is pretty fun. I think there could be some tuning to the game system, some rounds feel a bit too.... deterministic? As in, drawing a stop card generally means your chances of winning the round drastically increase.
I liked the minigames, they were very cute! Getting your mouse back by literally getting a mouse to your hand was pretty silly :)
Another thing you could work on is quality control for dialogue; spell check and grammar checks are important!
Anyway, very cool game, cheers!
Thank youu so much for the detailed feedback! Really glad you liked the artwork, music, and the minigames 😂
The point about some rounds feeling a bit deterministic is actually really interesting, especially with the Stop card. Definitely something we could tune to keep the risk and uncertainty higher.
And glad you enjoyed the little silly moments too lol. Really appreciate you taking the time to write all this, cheers!
Very nice game. Amazing visuals and vibes! Getting infinite tuna is a plus xD
Thank youu!! Glad you liked the visuals and vibes! And of course, infinite tuna is the real reward xD
Amazing visuals and audio complementing a game that instills mistrust. It was fun but I was never good at card games so I couldn't quite get a hang of things.
Thank youu!! Glad you enjoyed the visuals, audio, and the whole mistrust vibe! And yeah, the card system can definitely take a bit to get used to 😅 Appreciate you playing!
Very cute game love the concept art and vibe. Game is fun and hard.
Thank youu!! Glad you liked the art and vibe, and that you found the game fun 🥰
One of the most polished games in the jam! Great job. Played this on stream today and really enjoyed it. My favorite part was the whispering cats trying to tell me lies/truth.
Thank youu!! Really glad you enjoyed the game! And the whispering cats were one of our favorite parts too 😂 Glad you got to experience them on stream!
Crazy good UI! Loved the game and cats!!
Thank youu!! Glad you liked the UI and the cats 😂
Another very enjoyable card game! A+ for cat voicelines. All of the quick time events were fun, but the one that blinds your hand gives you far too much time to look at your cards before it takes effect. It would be harder if it stuck around for a few turns or happened instantaneously. Thanks for making this!
Thank youu! Really glad you enjoyed the cat voicelines and the QTEs 😂 And yeah, the Eyes curse could probably be a bit more challenging once you know how it works. Appreciate the feedback and thanks for playing!
I really liked the art and the gameplay was also really fun. I also really liked the intro and ending cutscene comic panel things.
Thank youu!! Glad you had fun with it! 🫶 We’re especially happy you liked the intro and ending comics, we really wanted them to add a little extra personality to the whole thing <3
You can tell you’ve taken the time to polish this game!
The gameplay is great (I’m glad it’s based on blackjack – it makes a nice change) and the ‘obstacles’ are well thought out (they could have been a bit more challenging, though, because once you’ve tried them at least once, they lose some of their appeal). The atmosphere (the visuals, the background music, the end screen) is lovely.
Well done!
Thank youu so much!! Really glad you enjoyed the Blackjack gameplay and the overall atmosphere 🫶 And yeah, we can definitely see how the obstacles could use a bit more variety/challenge on repeat runs. Really appreciate the kind words and feedback! <3
Without a doubt, this is very high-quality work.
Thank youu!! Really appreciate that 🫶
Amazing work ! Well done !
🥰🥰
really cool game to play, the visual are incredibly good <3
Thank youu!! Glad you had fun and liked the visuals <3 🫶
Love the art style and music! It was fun too! :)
Thank youu!! Glad you had fun 🫶
I like the vibe and the art of this game. It's very polished. The gameplay seemed interesting, but honestly I had a hard time figuring out what was going on at times. Still impressive for a jam game! Good job!
Thank youu!! Really glad you liked the vibe, art, and polish 🫶 And appreciate the feedback on the gameplay! There’s definitely a few things to figure out at first, but glad you still found it interesting. Thanks for giving it a try and for the kind words! <3
I encountered a bug which soft-locked the game:
My opponent played Light which forced me to play a 2 on a 21... and then it just became stuck on my opponent's turn forever.
Ohh yeah, that definitely sounds like a bug 😭 Thanks for reporting it and for the detailed steps! We’ll look into the Light + 21 interaction and see what’s causing the soft-lock. Really appreciate you letting us know!
