Description
“Sound of Vivens” is the official original soundtrack of the fictional game Sound of Vivens, serving as its main theme and emotional core.

Game Description – Sound of Vivens

Sound of Vivens is a narrative-driven exploration game set in the remnants of a forgotten world. Once a land where life flourished in harmony, Vivens now exists as a fractured echo of its former self, its history scattered across ruins, windswept landscapes, and fading echoes embedded in time itself.

Players journey through this silent world, uncovering fragments of memory and reconstructing the story of what once was. There is no traditional combat focus, instead, the experience is built around exploration, atmosphere, and emotional discovery, as the world gradually reveals its past through environmental storytelling.

OST Description – Sound of Vivens (Main Theme)

“Sound of Vivens” echoes through the remnants of this abandoned world, capturing the emotional essence of the game.

The track reflects the journey through a place that once thrived in harmony but now survives only as memory, Vivens lingers in fragments, carried by the wind, buried beneath silence, and scattered across time, while the music gives voice to what remains.

Blending epic orchestral scale with moments of quiet introspection, the composition shifts between tension and stillness. Driving rhythms and expressive melodies evoke movement through ruins and forgotten paths, while softer passages open space for reflection, as if the world itself is remembering what it used to be.

Inspired by the tonal colors and emotional depth of Eastern musical traditions, the piece weaves organic textures with a timeless atmosphere, creating a soundscape that feels both distant and alive.

“Sound of Vivens” is not only about what was lost, but about what endures, the echoes, the spirit, and the quiet pulse of a world that refuses to fade completely.

Theme

Songs of a Forgotten World

How does it fit the theme?
“Sound of Vivens” is a fragment within Songs of a Forgotten World, a piece that gives voice to what remains when a world is lost. While the overarching theme explores echoes of forgotten places, this track focuses on Vivens itself: a once-living realm now remembered only through its lingering sound. It represents one of those echoes, where memory, loss, and resilience converge into something that can still be heard, even after everything else has faded.

Gorgeously composed piece with great performances featured throughout. My only gripe is a little subjective; I would have preferred the drums to be a bit louder (not the cymbals though), but I have heard full orchestrations with not very loud drums before. The music fits well with the traversing and exploration based gameplay, could be a game similar to Journey. Overall a very impressive submission, well done.

What a great track! I can feel the soul emanating throughout the entirety of this piece. The flute and dynamics of this piece were my favorite part!

Nice orchestration! Just a side note, but the part where everything strips down to the solo harp could be done more effectively by having all the parts at a forte right before the next measure, as the harp plays, to create a strong dynamic contrast, and maybe some reverb on the forte as it slowly dies out, rather than immediately dying out. Also, an underlying pad can help with that transition while also highlighting the intimate nature of the harp. I enjoy the different sections you have, with the heaviness of the horns and drums transitioning into more of a determined feel, with the woodwinds taking over the melody, and that ascension (it almost sounds like a modulation) into the strings and woodwinds taking over the melody. Another nitpick, but I think some suspended cymbal rolls or some type of percussion roll would sound good leading up to the cymbal crashes and drum hits. The overall natural minor sound is quite nice. Very evocative of a cultural folktale/epic (with some hints of Dorian). Good job! I would love to hear this played live in a concert hall.

What an epic sound. The variation in intensity is very cool. One thing I could have liked is some different tracks for knowing a bit more about the game itself

The composition creates a very pleasant sensation, it brings me to an ancient forest of sorts, surrounded by mist. It feels nice to just close my eyes and immerse myself there, thank you for creating this :)

Thank you for the feedback!Regarding the instruments, I wanted to use Instruments that strayed a bit from the traditional orchestra. So I used instruments from other cultures ;)

It sounds lovely! I just wish there were more tracks, I would have loved to hear more!

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, I had many unforeseen circumstances regarding the composition deadline and ended up only having time to compose one track (the original plan was for 3).
