I’m not sure what to say about this game. Yes, the systems work, and the presentations is alright, but it’s just not very fun. It’s just walking through a maze in search of an exit somewhere and trying to not bump into a wall, lacking anything to make the experience somewhat interesting.

I escaped! This is simple but really polished, I had fun playing. I died a lot on the spikes but mostly because I was moving too fast. Adding blood splatters to all the places you've died before could be a nice little addition. Good job!

Nice dungeon and atmosphere! That death sound definitely gave me a jump scare.

Very nice game. Glad you're learning new stuff doing this too. Note that if you come to doing 3D stuff, you'll find that WebGL builds don't do 3D lighting nicely like Unity does with 2D lights.

Developer

Interesting.  Thanks for the info. I haven't done too many 3D projects yet, so I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Check the size of the collider boxes for both the player and the spikes. Sometimes, it's best to adjust the collider box slightly smaller than the player/spike, allowing a little leeway for the player. Keep going, you will improve as you try more game jams.

Developer

Thanks for the advice! I'll keep that in mind for next time.

Cool little dude, the spikes are real touchy though. The camera is very smooth and the vignette effect is fantastic.

Developer

Thanks!  Yeah like I explained in the other comment below, I tried my best to improve the spike collisions. They still are very touchy as you said.

The spikes at times were a little over zealous in killing me.  I swear I was much further away then they think I was.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to explain in the game details section.  It was much worse when the player was full size, so making him smaller helped a bit. I know it still could be better though.
