I only now got a bit of time to rate (3am rn for me lol)... I love the game, there is soooo much effort in the polish of the game and it is insane... Great work! ;)
Thank you! I'm happy with how it turned out too. It was Charley and Jaret were great to work with.
I really loved this game, the story & dialogue especially were very funny. Something I'd suggest to make the experience better is adding some sort of indicator to tell the player what digit they're hovering over, since it was difficult to tell at times.
Really fun game with a nice Ending!
The Movement with the Arm was a bit Hard though. Hitting the numbers felt a bit like luck sometimes.
Apart from that, fun Stroy, fun Audio, enjoyed a lot!
A really cute game! I loved the story and dialling feels so fun. My only complaint is that its hard to tell where the hand was going. A little X at the hit scan would do wonders. Anyways, I love the little plot twist at the end!
Cute game! It felt very polished and complete, and the story was fun to follow. I love playing games with heart. Well done!
A fellow rotary phone game. The transition from phone to table and to phone was good. The dialing was a bit difficult as the hand didn't go exactly where aimed at but overall good game
I felt like when I had to complete the main mission of an RPG and to do that I had to do like 15 other secondary missions to complete the first one ;_;
Silly game. I liked it :] The UI was very polished too!
Selling pinwheels? In this economy?!
Charming little game, the narrative perfectly capture the experience of trying to sell something.
Keep up the good work!
Omg, this game is hilarious!! I did not expect the ending, but it could not have been more perfect lmao. The dialing mechanic was implemented really well!! Genuinely one of my favourites from the jam. A very serious entry indeed, 10/10.
This was quite entertaining. I liked that redialing a number actually worked and gave you some more lines. The game loop is obviously very simple, but dialing numbers was juuuuust enough of a pain (in a good way!) to make the reward of more dialog and the next wacky faxed number all the more fun. Very nice work!
Yay! I'm glad you liked the extra dialogue for calling a number more than once. We put that in because we knew at least one person would do it. You might be the only person who did ~ but now we know it was worth it! Thanks for playing our game.
Very fun game :)
The humor is great and the physics to turn the dial is pretty cool. I do wish it was a little more challenging but I can't imagine how you do that without making it frustrating. All in all keep making games.
What an delightful game. I was quite cheesed to find that when i touched the pinwheel it spins, very silly, very spin good game.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! The whole team was really into making things feel as alive as possible. Working with Charley and Jaret was wonderful.
Thank you for reminding me how a rotary phone works
that was really fun! amazing story and voice acting!
Near the end of the jam, I suddenly knew I had to give all the different characters goofy voice sounds. The phone-quality voice clips were made possible by a silly fidget toy I have which records and plays back audio at a really low quality. I also tried my best to sound like an old lady for Belinda, and to bark like her dog. This has become my life.
This game made me feel like I had a job. Which would usually suck, but this was a fun job, so it’s okay. I like spinning the rotary phone…
I liked the little detail when I accidentally hit the pinwheels and they started spinning a little faster for a minute. I also liked how if you try to call one of the numbers early, it says the line is busy and I also liked the easter eggs with the special 3-digit numbers :P. Incredible attention to detail!
Very cute and SERIOUS game.
I'm really happy you enjoyed it! During development, I told the team that the story's conflict should not be with your boss since people have to deal with enough of that kind of stress in real life. Charley and Jaret did the heavy lifting by creating the code systems and writing the story, and I helped make sure the controls for the rotary phone felt smooth, adding in and implementing all the sounds later.
is this what it's like to work in sales :<
incredibly funny, i didnt understand how to play at first but once i got it i enjoyed it a lot, really wanted to help belinda though, this game would be incredible with multiple routes and numbers you can call, all in all great game
The more absurd it got the harder I laughed! This was great. If I had to nit-pick, it's more of a visual novel than a game, since there's no real challenge.
AI could never make a game this good. 10 Jenny's pinwheels out of 10.
