The art music and level design are really great. I really liked this concept of switching between light and dark to interact with different elements. With more polished, this could easily become a full game!

Great job on your submission! The art looks beautiful, and I really liked the visual style.

I also thought the idea behind the game was very creative, and I really liked the way you adapted it to the game jam theme. I'm sure this is one of the most unique games among the thousands of entries in the jam.

Congratulations on your amazing work!

Thank you. We will work harder and do better

The art style and music are incredibly cool!! Everything fits together so well.( Maybe adding a sound effect when the player dies could make it even more impactful?)

I absolutely love the overall atmosphere of this game. It’s a really great game!!

I found the platforming and mechanics to be pretty solid! If you were to work on this anymore, it maybe just needs a bit more polishing (I would personally add some particle effects or something when interacting with stuff).

Love the colors and art! Fun theme and the instructions were clear.

Art is gorgeous, the theme is unique. The website looks a bit messy though, I suggest making the BG a static color.
Gameplay was interesting and seriously fun, but I'm sure I cheated some things and jumped not the way you guys intended :D
Color palette is very cool.
The music could be a little bit more creepy, you guys added a "horror" tag but it was very chill.
It was a great experience!

Nice game! Liked the art and aesthetic for a Game Jam. The only downside is that the controls and movement are a bit rough

I played for about 30 minutes or so. The level design is pretty straightforward, but there are a few bugs that made it hard to get through sometimes.

I really like the art and music, and the core mechanic is super creative—using a candle to switch between light and dark to solve puzzles, and using enemy behaviors to your advantage. That part is genuinely enjoyable.

That said, there are some issues with the mechanics. For example, when I tried to pass through water walls by adjusting the candle’s brightness, there was a chance my character would get pushed right out of the map. Also, the butterfly enemy doesn’t always chase the light I throw—sometimes it just ignores it. And its hitbox feels off: I’ve clearly touched it and nothing happened, but other times I didn’t even touch it and got a “character died” screen.

On the bright side, the enemy you can use as a stepping box is a great idea, but its detection is a bit wonky too—sometimes it doesn’t dodge the light I throw. Also, after I adjust the candle brightness back and forth a few times, my own candlelight stops working to scare off enemies, which kind of stalls progress.

One bug I found by accident: if I click the left mouse button repeatedly to throw light sources, my character just dies instantly. But honestly, that doesn’t really affect normal play.

Overall, it’s a really engaging side-scroller with a lot of creative personality. Sure, it has some small issues, but they don’t ruin the experience. Shoutout to my high school friend Lin Shihan—I’m sure you guys will come up with even cooler stuff in the future.

Super strong art and audio. Love the overall style and religious vibe of carrying a candle and using that as the main mechanic. Pacing between levels is well designed, using the same main mechanic while progressing complexity over time. Well done.

I really enjoy the atmosphere that this game has! Maybe having slightly different controls would be nice tho

This is a cute little game, but I would definitely like to see more from it! I think the art and sounds could be improved with more time, so it would be cool to see you all keep pursuing the project!

Good job guys!

really cute character design, and some cool platforming mechanics. the controls felt a little messy (felt like i needed both hands on my keyboard and one on the mouse)

Really neat puzzle platformer, with really nice art, I really liked that the light was a mechanic, it was pretty cool to see the blocks appear outside of my light circle. overall pretty cool mechanics and fun little puzzles.
