We had a similar idea for the second half of our game (which we couldn't implement due to time constraints), so it was really cool and surprising to see it in yours!

As others have said, I do think it sins a bit in the balancing department. The artwork, sfx, and especially music are top-notch, though. Great work!

Now this, this is fine art.

Ambience is excellent. It does convey this sort of uncanny vibe that the gameplay handles. Decremental as a concept is absurdly original, and I love this execution. My poor mouse and spacebar gave their best performance.

loved the Game the art is amazing .

I'm beat game only with autoclicker, that means that second phase has too high score to beat. But art not bad and reverse incremental idea is interesting, GL!

I loved the art! The game is fun, especially the second level. I think that for a game jam, where most of us play through several games, it would have been better if the first level were easier and quicker. Of course, the spacebar is really useful! I wish I’d managed to unlock it sooner. But I loved the atmosphere, and it was satisfying to finish the game! Excellent work!

Very cute and nice graphics. What a good way to test out this new mouse I just got, lol. I have to be honest, I don't play a lot of these so maybe I'm out of the loop, but I've never heard of a DECremental before. Great entry and keep up the good work guys.

I don't think there ever was a decremental subgenre of incremental games.
It's likely that this game jam might be the beggining of it since there are couple of other games that try out a similar idea.

I liked it , clicking was satisfying and the art was really great but wish it wasnt so punishing right away before another upgrade or some event

Ayooooooooooooooooooo COOOOOOOKIE CLICKER BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Yes please lower the points for the first level, unless you want people to start with an autoclicker in which case build it into the game!

Submitted(+1)

I think some first level should be much lower points, as now 2000 at level 2 is insane to me:)) nice entry!

Great idea to turn the auto clicker on its head like that. The early part got a bit tedious after a going through it a couple times but very satisfying in the end

You have no IDEA of the POWER of

ZE AUTOCLICKER

(Loved the game, the progression is really fun, its just wayy too much points you gotta click through)

Developer

There was an attempt to limit the autoclicker, but it seems it didn't work.

Also about the point requirement, I wanted to make each downgrade feel impactful and thought having a high initial point requirement would highlight that, but it seems  I might have gone overboard with it.

Yeah, if there was something like say, it increases every time it dies, it would've been a much better loop and have better gameplay

I destroyed my mouse playing your game :D

Reading the other comments it sounds like I should have kept clicking but I just couldn't. It was unfortunately too much. Maybe because I've also had to playtest my own game which requires copious amount of clicking as well😂

Developer(+1)

Sorry about that.

For how much fun it was to get to the end, I was really hoping for some final big reveal. I’m still glad I stuck with it though

we clickin on big evil ball with this one

Such a good twist!

I'd agree with the other comments that the clicking can be a bit intense (my hand hurts lol), but this is so worth it once you break through to the second half of the game. The sudden jump to tight time pressure and the shift in visuals and music is so good, and it feels so intense!

Speaking of the music - the track itself is lovely, but I particularly love how you change the pitch over time - adds so much to the general feel and atmosphere :)

short and sweet game i reccomend it
took me 2 runs to finish it , first one ended at 55/60  ;-;
the atmosphere is great , and i really like when everything breaks
the autoclicker that goes against you is a fun idea but not really impactful
UI could be improved a lot though, it feels completely separate from the game at the moment

Extremelly clever take on the demecremental game idea. I was watching a friend play and thought nothing of it until I noticed that the auto clicker is adding points to the total. That's a great idea, combiened with the levels decreasing (the points per click doesn't make sense byt it is ok).

I think the point requirement is too high because I think many of the people playing will not see the second (and best) part of the game. The sound design of this section is golden, I never was stresssed so much by a clicker game x). The prestige also make it feel like a full game,

It was really really nice

I went in wanting to sit back and rely more an auto feature, to then find the auto feature is the complete opposite and any rest would be actively bad. Was still quite fun, though the 2000 point requirement was far too high at the start. My hand hurts so much after winning.

I really wish something other than left click was the initial button. The game is much more bearable once another key is opened up, even just to use that key alone.

Good stuff!
