Very cool style. Also very hard haha

Love the style. I feel like not being able to point the gun anywhere but where you're moving makes it pretty tough though

Thanks for the feedback!

The aiming was intentional for two reasons. To force you to be a bit more aggressive with enemies, and more importantly, because we wanted to have co op and having movement plus aiming for two people on one keyboard wasn’t really feasible.

Love the VHS filters - they work very well with your artstyle!

On Chrome I thought the shooting was broken because I couldn’t see the shots going off. Works in firefox though?

Fun stuff overall!

Very nice game and aesthetics ! I like the old VHS effect. Shotgun might be a bit too op tho and also anyone else had random game crash when using the rocket launcher ?

Developer

Thank you! Yeah there is a bug where hitting yourself with the rocket launcher explosion can crash the game.

Cool gameplay! I wonder if Count Dracula uses the pillow in his coffin...

Nice, live the pun-y use of the theme!

Submitted(+1)

Love the puns. I thought about doing a game where you were counting feathers. You took it an extra step of having a count. Also the geese with demon tridents were funny.

Gameplay-wise it was rather difficult. The hit scan only goes so far, and you can't aim without a) walking towards the enemies, or b) letting them walk to you. This game seems like it would benefit from aiming in a direction you aren't walking (either with arrow keys or mouse, but with this style I'd probably stick with arrows).

The shader seemed intense. I would have liked an option to turn it down.

Great work!

Developer

Thanks fellow Wild Jammer!  Appreciate the candid advice! Totally hear you on the shader.

I love the theme interpretation!

Interesting. I wish I could aim with the cursor. And sometimes I die randomly, but overall cool geese!

Submitted(+1)

Wait! I  just realized I'm probably dying because of the timer.

Active reloads are always cool! Reminded me of hong kong 97, but in a good way I promise

Developer

Glad you enjoyed! Whats hong kong 97?

Submitted(+1)

Fairly fun game, loved the skill checks on the reloads. Aiming is a little difficult and gets a little in the way of the game, but other than that it's a fun little game.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Fair point on the aiming. How would you change it?

Submitted

I personally would either move the aiming to a different set of buttons, like the arrow keys, if I wanted to make everything keyboard centric, or just make it on the mouse. Felt a little bit unnatural to aim and move with WASD at the same time, though I guess it adds a little to the challenge :)

Developer

that’s valid! TBH the primary reason we did it this way is so two people can play at once.
