This is so cool !!!◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜ We love the concept and game design so much, the art and graphic is vey matching together ! We can't manage to beat the boss but still enjoyed this game so much ! More enjoy every time we play !

Love the 16bit graphics and animation, been a while since I've seen those. Good feel on collecting and matching the clock with the actions of the player.
I felt you stole my last couple seconds by putting me out of the field to collect things. The boss came out of nowhere I thought I'll go back to the shopping. So I jumped into the bullets, because I was doing no damage expecting to get a continued run to improve my build, but instead went to main menu to start a new game.
On my second run it felt much better. Missed probably 50% of all harvests because as the animation zooms in and the meter is running at the same time I clicked too early (or I'm just getting too old).

Nice game, managed to beat it second try (first try I  was a pro gamer and did not realize I could upgrade and collect at the same time, resulting in me fighting the boss with no upgrades)

Enjoyable!

i really love the gameplay loop of this one! The balance of trying to gather as many ressources as possible while not botching most of the collection by being reckless is super fun! The boss was hard and i never actually did manage to beat him, he also looked incredible too! (And incredibly mean lol) I could definitely see myself coming back to this one later after voting has ended to see if i can finish him off.

Out of curiosity. The first time i played, i didn't realise i had to go and make my offerings within the time limit, however i did have the bow going into the boss fight. In my second run i spent all my ressources but didn't have the bow. Is that a bug or did i curse myself by buying something i shouldn't have?

Either way, awesome game, you have something really cool here that feels very modern and well thought out as a gameplay loop.

Thanks a lot for playing!

That's a bug. If the player reaches the boss fight without a weapon, the game is supposed to give them one. Now that I think about it, the boss fight screenshot didn't have a weapon either. I can't believe I missed that, lol. It looks like I forgot to properly clear the cached weapon. Sorry about the bug, and thanks for pointing it out

The pixel art and animations here are phenomenal, the harvesting mini-games to gear up before combat is also such an engaging gameplay loop, you really struck gold here. Highly consider making this a full release!

Thanks a lot for playing and for the kind words!

Such a good aesthetic. Very smart take on the theme. I love the preparation for the big boss, which is so beautiful. Really well done, everything is to well done and well put together. Very inspiring. Good job !

I was maybe too prepare on my second run ahah, anyway I could definitely more wave of boss with small preparation before each one. Solid entry !

Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it

I appreciate the generous iFrames. I'd like some kind of indicator on the homing balls to know when they're about to despawn.

The boss gave me contra vides.

Simple but effective loop.

Solid entry.

Developer

That's a really good suggestion. Thank you very much!

THIS is the perfect example of a good game jam game! It takes a concept and applies it well, it's nice and short but has a good reason to replay to win, and feels pretty polished. I didn't want to stop until I beat the boss.

The only thing that had me unsure was the randomness of spawns. I had a map where stone didn't spawn for several rounds and I butchered one of two, so I had over a handful of enemies shooting at me until I could get the bow once. However, I also gathered a ton of berries, so I had a lot of health and time, so I ended up winning on that one. So maybe it's more balanced than I figured.

Art is adorable, it feels like the right kind of stress to beat the timer and good to succeed. Well done!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the kind words! You're right about the stone. Right now it only spawns based on random chance, but I should probably make it guaranteed after a certain point since it's the only resource used to upgrade weapons.

Okay just beat the boss, it was well made!

I overall liked the look and feel. It's a double-sided premise where you want to develop your economy in resources as much as possible to be ready for the boss itself. I think it executes it perfectly! The art is nice, the sfx and music is well placed, and the mechanics is simple to pick up. I'm surprised there were monsters at the start but that explains the bow appearing lol. I did wish the enemies start to scale up even at that stage to incentivize to maybe leave to not get any more losses.

Overall, it has been enjoyable! Thank you for submitting in the game jam!

Congrat on defeating the boss! Thanks a lot for playing it all the way through! I really appreciate it. I'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind.

I thought I had this nailed, and then the bullets started flying :) Great art style and fun gameplay, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

This game is genuinely good, like on sum preofessional stuff. The Visuals, the game play, and the cool combat system is real fun.

The visuals look great! I think this is a really interesting take on the idea of a count down, and I like the resource management aspects of it. I had a lot of fun with this game :)
