This is a really great game, especially for a first game, not to mention a first game jam game. Also, the art and audio were great. The only problem is that I saw other people talking about a score and I never saw anything like that so I think there might be some kind of scaling problem. But I still think this is a good idea with a good gameplay loop of recognizing the sprites and trying to remember if you've already gotten them or not.

What I liked: The art was great and I liked hearing the bird noises as well, great atmosphere. I also liked the information index at the end.
What I think could be added or improved: Maybe some sort of indicator of what birds I've seen, though that would probably make it too easy. But some way to not click on already counted birds as much would be nice. Maybe you could make the binocular zoom part a bit faster. Minor complaint overall though. I'd also like to see Black-Billed Magpies and Canada Jays since those are my favourites :).

And excellent score wow--I absolutely do not remember what scoring system I ended up using and that's way better than I've ever managed haha. The counting UI definitely needs some work, so I really appreciate your suggestions there! All the birds in the game currently are the ones I get on my feeders (sans Mourning Doves, because I ran out of time), but I do love magpies and Canada Jays are nifty little guys. :)

Fix the CountDown!Fantastic job all around. It was really fun trying to get all the different kinds of birds and then awesome to see at the end it showed how much of each I saw. Clutch to add in the game the already seen functionality. I also really liked that you hid the ui (timer) in the world (tea). Great submission.
