How does your game fit the theme?
This is a speedrunning game with fast-paced parkour. Countdowns are heavily featured as a core gameplay mechanic and in-world component. As a contestant on a game show, you are challenged to complete the course before the countdown finishes. (But note, the 'intended' route may not necessarily be the fastest one!)

A bit buggy with the respawns, but otherwise a fast-paced and fun FPS!!
thank you for taking the time to play my game! I'm glad you had fun!
No worries, it was great!!
Fun game to play, next time make sure you make a WebGl version, it's easier for everyone to access your game and give you rating. Nice game btw, really enjoy it <3
thank you for taking the time to play my game! A webGL version of the game was planned but not implemented in time because of serious crashing issues happening related to my custom dynamic music and physics systems
sorry!
This game reminds me of portal lol
I loved it! don't see what the issue with gravity you were talking about was, it's used sparingly enough to not cause confusion though that's just me
thank you for playing and im glad you enjoyed!
Probably my favorite game from the jam so far, largely because of the music.

Some parts feel a little bit buggy, but was fun looking for shortcuts. Am curious how many unintentional shortcuts I found. Oh and would be nice if Windows wasn't warning me against running the .exe
thank you for playing and im glad you enjoyed!
almost every shortcut currently found by everyone i've watched is intentional. the box push is sometimes there to annoy you into finding a faster route lol
well done on finding a bunch of them!
Managed to get out of the map once lol. So maybe I found something new. :3
This game is peak fun! The parkour mechanics are great. I also liked the dystopian meta-narrative and it’s awesome that the game even has VO lines that you recorded.
While playing, I did encounter some bugs like spawn displacement in some levels and cubes not resetting to their original positions after failing a level. Otherwise, I really liked how there’s lots of shortcuts you can take and many ‘hidden’ parkour techniques (my personal favourite is probably using CTRL to build up speed, and combining that with regular/wall jumps).
I like to think that the cubes being a bit slower and slightly annoying to properly place are a sort of tie-in to Sisyphus with the ‘forced happiness game show’ theme, but I don’t want to start going on some philosophical tangent :D
anyways, once again, great game!
eh, philosophical tangents are sort of on-brand for me as it is.
I'm so glad you had fun playing my game, and thank you so very much for taking the time!
Sorry about some of the bugs. The cubes not resetting is actually intentional.
Thank you!!!
The voice acting was so fun. I was playing this with my brother across the table from me and he kept laughing at the silly stuff being said, especially "sticky... like a stick... covered in something uh sticky". Also the gravity stuff is super cool and very impressive in a game jam setting!
Thank you for taking the time to play my game! I'm glad you had fun and it made you laugh. The gravity was hard to do but oh so worth it!
Lots of fun! The sliding felt really good, I liked you could/had to slide into the door at the end of the countdown. The gravity change mechanic was neat, I liked you could sort of see it coming and do a bit of planning as you ran. I wish I moved faster on the climbing sections, or there was some movement tech I could do to jump on them. Great music too, felt good to run to! Only downloadable game I tried and glad that I did!
Thank you for taking the time to play my game and I'm glad you had fun! Unfortunately you're right and the sticky walls are a bit slow. I'll look into balancing this or coming up with faster verticality solutions in future games.
Super nice feeling movement! ^^
Level design felt balanced and satisfying to run through, and the music was a highlight! The only critique I'd have would be the game world felt a little barren given the lack of scenery, and the humour from the announcer wasn't my cuppa tea lol, but all in all one of my faves to play through of the jam :)
hey! thank you for the review! Yeah, my humor is a bit... punny.
I'm glad that you still had fun though and grateful you took the time to play my game!
Phenomenal! The level design, mechanics, sound design, and humor were all top-notch! Unfortunately, I ran into a bug in the last level where anytime the camera was supposed to switch to a third-person view, I was simply faced with a white screen and had to flail around blindly and hope for the best. In spite of this, I still managed to finish the game and I had a great time. This is one of the most polished games I've seen this jam. Good luck!
thank you for playing my game! I've only seen the white-screen bug once during playtesting and was unable to reproduce the cause of it. If you have any ideas, please let me know!
The comedy you have with the commentator's lines genuinely made me laugh so many times! These movement mechanics were so polished and well executed! I'm glad I finally got to play this!
I'm so glad you had fun and it made you laugh! Thank you for taking the time to play my game!
This is a really well polished and smooth parkour game! I especially love the red gravity switching bits although it's not always clear which way is the originally down direction which was relevant in the octagon finale.
I felt so clever when I was able to skip parts of the level like one of the sticky wall by just jumping down and skipping some jumping puzzles by cutting corners (literally). I was also able to run back to a previous room before the gate slams shut and soft-lock myself. It would be really funny if the announcer acknowledge that.
Speaking of announcers, the voice over are well written and well made. I appreciates the bits of jokes and puns you've put in. They really made the game world felt a lot bigger than just the gameplay. Good job!
Thank you for taking the time to play my game, and I'm glad you had fun!
Yes a lot of skips that were left in the game were intentional and there for players like you to find :)
There were plans for announcer voice lines on certain shortcuts, but they didn't get recorded and into the game in time, even though in a few places the triggers are actually already wired up.
I'm glad you liked my terrible humor! Thank you!
I believe 0451 isn't just a random number ;)
I really enjoyed the movement and first few obstacles, it was fluid and enjoyable. I'm a little less fond of Sticky Walls, they seem to have some weird collisions and they slowed down the gameplay for me, the biggest issues I had with the gravity changing walls. I admire how they are made technically, but I wasn't a fan of them as they confused me a bit and sadly I have some motion sickess in games so I had to squint and push through. I was also able to fall out of the level with those walls.
I enjoyed the announcers a lot, the humor was on point and the recordings were well made, the "wordplay" joke or the "like a stick joke" were most memorable for me.
I also liked that in some levels I think I was able to beat them in a way that wasn't the fully intended path, but it didn't feel like I am breaking the game, but just using the mechanics skillfully to skip a part of the obstacle.
Overall I enjoyed it and was able to beat the game and go on to become a very succesful indie developer while the show was cancelled (sad). I would probably just want more pure parkour but that doesn't mean the parts weren't well made.
Of course it's random. entirely random.
I''m sorry you had a bad time with the gravity system, i expected a percentage of players to have issues with it. If you could go into specifics as to what it was about them that made you feel sick, that could help me adjust in the future.
I'm grateful you still had fun and you liked my bad jokes!
I don't think I will be able to provide you anything that will be of much worth*. I usually disable Motion Blur in games and go for Higher FOV if it makes me sick. If it doesn't help and there is an option I will also disable head bob.
Here just the movement messing with my head a little when it swapped quickly and also made my brain think of where in the space I am, so that is probably why it felt a little dizzy (but I was able to push through, no worries, didn't even have to chew gigner :D)
*I have actually no idea why I am like this but I talked to: internist, eye doctor, laryngologist, neurologist and even rendering specialists with years of experience in AAA games and... Nobody understands why this happens to me. So designing with my condition in mind isn't probably worth your time.
Holy moly! What a great little adventure, I really liked running through like I was on Ninja Warrior or something (albeit with a lot more stakes).
Only nitpick I have would be my momentum not being conserved as much as I'd like when in the air. I see why this is, as it makes wall running more versatile, but it might help in conserving speed. I would DIE to see this game get some more stuff added to it. I really, REALLY LOVED IT!
I hope you all had so much fun making this cause I had the time of my life playing it xoxoxoxo
I'll see what I can do to tune the physics a bit more.
I'm grateful you took the time to play my game and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Fun to play, but I didn't heard any sound at all?
Maybe it is something to do with my settings, going to give it another try later...
0% of players or playtesters have reported any sound issues, so that's an issue that is local to your machine. Check windows sound settings, devices?
Is it just me, or are you getting better at this?

I agree that the voiceovers are quite entertaining.
Though, I'm genuinely not sure if points should be added or deducted for the "wall running" joke.
XD
Speaking of, I personally would like a different button for wall running other than the jump button.
Sometimes I got the angle wrong, and just jumped into the lava while skidding down a wall.
Maybe shift? Or make it remappable so people can have either?
Also, I am sure this will not surprise you, but there may be a couple bugs left in a game that was made in less than a week.
Behold my glorious fall to oblivion!
XD
Good job. Make more. Join us for the Patreon jam!
Bugs? Where?
What i see are features!
Wallrunning is intriguing, because a lot of people have mixed opinions about it.. To be entirely honest, there's a balance somewhere I haven't found yet. I'll keep digging.
Thank you for taking the time to play my game! I hope you had fun!
Oh, I did.
Though, I am tempted to ask for a "soundtrack" that is just all the audio voiceovers!
XD
I realised when I woke up that I didn't actually say how the bug happened! Sorry!
In the box-pushing room, I didn't push it closer to the wall, just straight ahead.
I climbed the box, and jumped to try to parkour climb the top of the wall (I may have accidentally released space and then quickly grabbed it again - causing a failed and then another one to start? I can't quite remember).
This mostly worked, except I climbed "into" the floor.
I was able to walk with eyes at about floor level (could see above and below), until I reached the door to the next room.
That's when the fall into the abyss happened.
The gameplay is really well done. These types of games really rely on having good player movement and this felt perfect.
Thank you! I put a lot of time into trying to get the movement to be smooth and responsive!
The movements and parkour mechanics feel really polished. The commentator's personality and dialogue along with small details like the door closing and ad panels add a lot of depth to the game
Thank you for taking the time to play and I hope you had fun!
You are so funny, I can't! Please make more games with voice over lines XD
Really good movement system and well designed parkour! The jumping was a tad flighty imo, but that's just a tiny nitpick in what was a really fun game!
I'm so grateful you took the time to play my game and I'm glad it made you laugh and have fun!
I agree with you on the jumping and will be tuning this in future games.
Thanks again <3 <3 <3
lol nice finals comentators :D and same "contestant" :D nice movement and that red carpet gravity was great... is so polish than my PARKOUR game xd
thank you for taking the time to play my game! I played yours and liked it!
Reminds me of the old Karlson demo dani made
2nd year in a row i've heard that and still have no idea what that game is, i really should look it up....
