On of my favourite game mechanics in this jam so far. Setting up chain reactions where tiles spawn things that other tiles consume is incredibly satisfying, if you plan to continue development, I hope you lean into this!

This is the kind of game I'd happily play beyond the jam. The mechanics are addictive, the idea has plenty of room to grow, and it left me wanting a much bigger version!!

I like the concept but I wish the overall gameplay loop were a bit more satisfying. Like Farly said, there aren't many creature types and I wish there were something to really grab me. maybe the game just isn't for me. I do admire the polish with the art and sound and color palette and everything though! Nice work on this game.

A solid game for the jam! I wish there were a few more creature types, but I understand the pains of time constraints from the jam. I wish the end day cycle could be made a bit faster, like a speed up option, but I had a lot of fun :)

really creative concept! will be really potential with some quality UI improvement (i.e. hover to show effect on each units). other than that, a seriously addicting concept for a jam. good work!

Normally not into those games but really had fun with that. Difficulty is IMO fine, made it in 38 days, close but still not too hard. Very good job!

Very cursed strategy game :D Great audio and graphics :D Congrats :)

I reached corruption point around 700. I think if there were 10 more days I would've done 2000. I spent 20 minutes in this and found it interesting! Well done

The barrier of entry is too high for me.
Some icons could help those blocs of text, as well as a simplified version of the game for a "tutorial level" which would be labeled as your first level

As much as I like micromanaging a bunch of intertwining parts, I haven't played too many games like this one. That said, I think I like the ideas you've got here - the synergies at play are fun to try and play around & I really like being hit with the "upgrades" gimmick halfway through the game, I think having too many mechanics thrown in at once can boggle the mind a bit too much, rather than being forced to adapt on the fly.

I think this game is just missing a few QoL perks. Stuff like being able to click tiles to check their actions when I'm using "Show Board", or just having a list of abilities available. It'd be much easier to prepare the board for the lich when I know what he's gonna do.

QoL aside, this game is good strategic fun.

really nice game, wish there were even more synergies!

I can see this being as addictive as luck be a landlord.

maybe add a number to the corruption orb so I know how much it was worth at a glance.

i second that the art is really great! the game had a nice feel overall! could easily  see it becoming a full version, like each month releasing a different eldritch horror :D

two small nitpicks: i think the tutorial needs a bit work. It was fun to try out the interactions, but maybe two or three more sentences what each c reature does would ease the beginning! And second: the site says you have 50 days, luring the unaussuming victim into a false sense of security ;)

Thanks for playing! Yeah, it's hard with tutorials and game jams ,especially if the game is a little bit more complicated.
Also forgot to change days to 50 in game :D

Interesting game with pretty appealing graphics. Won on day 39

Developer

Thanks. Nice job :D Seems a lot of people keep winning on day 39.

Very interesting and attention grabbing. Beat it with 1 day left. Took me a while to realize Abominations were the strat to win

Developer

Thanks and Good job :D, I wonder if anyone will manage to summon Homunculus.. :D

Not much for strategy games but this was very cool, art was especially good and the game was pretty intuitive.

Developer

Thanks, thats great to hear! :)

I really enjoyed this game. This is one I can see myself coming back to, and one that I'd actually buy a version of on Steam if it were expanded with more tile types, more goals, etc. I think my only frustration with it, which is definitely just a you-need-to-play-it-more problem, was I couldn't figure out how to efficiently make enough corpses for my worms to eat, since they kept either being eaten by zombies or becoming zombies haha! Very impressive though, I really enjoyed it!
