Impressive for a 4 day game jam!
I am impressed you made a multiplayer game during a jam, well done! Not quite a game for me but I gave it a quick go on stream to get the vibe to make a rating. https://www.twitch.tv/nebsterlive Good job on the game!
Thanks! I saw the rewind thanks for playing it! Also there was color in the option "Palette" hehe ! :) Thanks!
Thanks for letting me know about the palette options, I have adjusted my scores accordingly! Good work!
You made some killer chiptune, made an online game, made a full classic RPG, you- you mad man! All I can do is congratulate you! Brilliant work.
You really nailed the feeling of old 8bit games
The game art style and soundtrack truly drip with nolstagia for the old time. It’s unbelievable any would attempt to do a classic rpg in 4 days for the jam. I think a few people also miss the multiplayer component since it is REQUIRED to beat encounters in this game (a party of 4 at that) and sometimes having others around is quite random as well. A way to balance is probably have some part you can beat single player and some requires multiplayer.
Cool intro as well
I had a good time checking out Legend of the Trigger Eternal. I saw that it was unfinished or rushed, but the parts that made it in still show a clear direction. The art direction gave it a lot of personality. Love the stylised art
The game looked great and is dripping with style! I couldn’t really understand the main loop of the game and it was quite difficult as I kept getting killed by enemies. I like the timer and the combat is cool!
Art and visuals overall is amazing. Did the gameboy aesthetic perfectly especially for the modern day. I'd say it's pretty confusing trying to figure out what to do at the start.
It's so 80s I love it!!!!! The difficulty curve is a bit steep straight from the start but it's awesome that you build a multiplayer game for the Jam lolllll
This is really, really cool! I am healed by the power of fish.
I really liked the visual style. The game feels inspired by old handheld fantasy games, with a distinctive retro presentation, charming details, and pleasant music. I also appreciate the amount of content and the fact that multiplayer was implemented at all, which is quite ambitious for a game jam project.
Unfortunately, it took me a long time to understand what I was supposed to do. I explored the levels and tried fighting the monsters, but some of them felt impossible to defeat alone. Only after reading the Itch page did I realize that the game is designed around online co-op.
I eventually managed to play with another person for about a minute, but it seems that completing the game properly requires a full team. Because I couldn’t gather one, I wasn’t able to fully experience the countdown mechanic or the intended sense of urgency. The timer is clearly meant to create pressure, but without a realistic chance of reaching the end alone, that effect was difficult to appreciate.
The concept, retro-fantasy style, music, amount of work, and multiplayer functionality are all impressive. I think I could have enjoyed it much more with a full group, but in solo play my overall experience was unfortunately quite mixed.
This one is amazing! I did not read the description that carefully so when I first saw another player walking around I gasped :) I love this style and would definitely play a full version! What engine/framework did you make it in?
I love the art style and the vibe of the whole game! Great job!
It's so detailed, crazy work.
Are you kidding me? You made an MMORPG for the jam? This looks immaculate, sounds great. Man, I'm mad at how good/ambitious this is for a jam game, lmao. Well done.
完成度の高いゲームだと思います!
This is really really good! The style, art, and especially the music gets a 10/10 from me. Only critisism I have is the difficulty should've probably been a bit easier for a jam and I think I accidentally skipped some lore stuff because I was kind of confused by the story. Really good game!
Yeah, great retro wipes and seems like a lot of effort put into this one! Combat could have used some variance put maybe it could have come with longer gaming session. Coherent package.
Nice aesthetic and audio! Well done.
Really gorgeous game! From launching the game all the way into gameplay this really felt nice and polished. I couldn't believe all the stuff you had in your options menu! Once in game, for me, the pacing felt a bit rushed - This world is a visual feast that I would like to take my time to enjoy but due to the nature of the theme, it's very go go go. This game is an incredible achievement in such a short period of time. Great work!
