super fun unique game !! i love the pixel art style and post processing shader (i used a similar style in my game) i loved the unique tools and how they worked, i just wish i couldve played a downloadable version bc browser versions of games always introduce some unintended jank, regardless i still had a blast figuring this one out. if i had any quick feedback for improvement i would choose a font that better fits the games style for the tutorial text (LMB to drag, etc.) bc the environment was so stylized and cool i just want everything to mesh. Awesome game, great take on the theme, fun art style, great submission !
Thanks for the feedback!
Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make the font and PC version of the game. But it's a classic story for jams :)
I am glad that you appreciated the style and atmosphere!
And thank for playing!
Love the graphics, the music, taking off bombs strapped to people makes them so much scarier! I had quite a few issues with input though, particularly with the blowtorch, where it would not detect a drag. I also wish that the tutorial messages were a little less intrusive, perhaps some arrows or something before the game could have played so that I would be free to discover the possibilities myself. Anyway, those are just nitpicks because I did have fun playing this, nice entry :)
Really great visuals and vibe, feels very saw like! I know I'm just lazy and was reluctant to go to my desktop at first but if you wanted to add trackpad support in the future that would be the real cherry on top for me haha.
Awesome idea! The mood with the visuals and audio is fantastic. Fix the controls and tutorials and this could be really, really good
So, it's impossible to understand where tool will drop exactly) And also, sometimes it misses the box, when you "buy" it, so I ended up not having a wire scanner when it was introduced. Good thing it can be unlocked without it) Otherwise I'd probably drop. At later stages it finishes before you actually do everything, I gues thats not a problem, but something to keep in mind, if you're going to finish it after jam.
And yeah, finished the game, I thought it was on the easy side (Always had time to buy everything), but anyways I enjoyed it)
There's something interesting here but the input is not very precise and can lead to frustration. I think this has potential with a bit more polishing!
Dude the neon is AWESOME, great game! I had a bit of sensory overload in a good way, love it!
Woah! feels like a retro cyber punk with that neon light!
The art style looks SUPER COOL! Reminds me of Buckshot Roulette! The neon lighting adds the vibes! The gameplay is pretty fun too! Although sometime tools were hard to find once dropped.
It's a pity that we couldn't debug the physics of objects well enough. But I'm glad you captured the atmosphere well!
Thanks for playing!
Really cool visuals, and I like how it wraps the classic bomb-defusal setup in a Saw kind of vibe. The inverted camera controls bugged me the whole way through though
Oh, there should have been a cursor that sort of grabbed the screen. This way, camera control would be perceived better (like on tablets/phones). It's a pity that I didn't have time to do it and confused people :)
Thanks for playing!
Very creative idea, and the visuals are really good
Super cool concept, aesthetic, audio, and theme! I love it. The tools are a bit finicky, and the game is pretty hard - but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Anyways - super super cool game!
I agree with the other comment about not having a timer for the tutorial, I couldn't seem to get unscrewing working and progress past the start, I tried holding and not holding left click and using the mouse wheel both ways but it didn't seem to do anything other than make a noise, and I wasn't able to see whether I was making progress on the screw coming out visually. That said love the aesthetic, audio and theme, from the tools listed in the description and gifs looks like it gets pretty fun and crazy
There might be some technical issue. Sorry you weren't able to play.
Anyway, thanks for your feedback!
Cool retro visuals, but it wasn't clear what I needed to do or how to do it. Maybe a quick tutorial without the timer?
I had the idea for a training mode where you could play with the tools without a timer. But I didn't have enough time to make it :(
Thanks for playing!
I live the Bomb Defusal it was done is a really epic way
a bomb got stuck in my chest, and when i was trying to pull it out, i shoved the screwdriver in too deep and lost because accidentally ripped my own heart out
They should have added a warning: "What's shown in the game can't be repeated at home."
My mistake, sorry about your heart :)
I love the filter on the game but it also made it a bit hard to see and understand what to do at first. I liked upgrading the tools and having the auto version.
This is such a cool aesthetic! I also have so much repect for anyone able to pull off a 3D game in a jam. I had some issues with the tutorial pop-ups and navigating with the clunky camera movement but overall really great job!
Thank you!
We all have these issues, so don't worry about it. I also had an issue with the tutorial not showing up two hours before it was supposed to be sent.
Lucky I caught the problem in time :)
Quite the atmosphere. The items sometimes get lost when flying out of the tool box but you usually have multiple so it's not a great deal.
Using the seconds as currency for the next level is quite a nice incentive to focus on the task.
I’ve always wanted to be a bomb disposal expert in a PS2-style world
