I love bullethells.

Developer

Thanks! I like them too :D

A simple, but effective submission that felt incredibly satisfying to play through. The game juice + SFX was the secret ingredient making each run feel very rewarding. The gameplay really *clicked* with me (pun intended)! Fun entry. I liked how you have to click to get through different menus as well, but it gets slightly tedious. Maybe lower the amount of clicks required?

Developer(+1)

Agree! I receive the same comments aswell haha. Thanks for playing!

Yay I win! It was pretty cool trying to multitask moving my character around but also moving the mouse to the right place to click. I also like how you made the UI match the theming. The music did start to get a little overbearing though :(

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah I agree, I wished my music had more variation on it, thanks for the feedback!

this game felt amazing to play. Such a good concept. Its like vampire survivors x cookie clicker!

Autoclicker is OP :)

Developer

haha yeah I didn't balance anything lmao, Thanks for playing!

I saw this on the discord! Some reaaaally good UI design and game feel, you didn't overpower the game with effects and instead kept things extremely simple and clean - I absolutely love how it looks. I also LOVE bullet hells!! So this was extremely fun for me to play, it was a great take on the theme (I also love how you have to click a counter to confirm options). I really don't have any complaints and just had a great time, well done!

I did a little doodle, I think your little squares are still characters lol

Developer(+1)

Omg its the Hickory man!!! Thanks so much for playing! Honestly I thought it was missing some fx haha. The doodle is so cute! Thanks so much! :D

Such a simple yet creative gameplay! Good work on look and feel of the game. I kinda found a hack, if I keep moving in a circle around the edges I can avoid most of the bullets :D

Developer(+1)

Damn, I didn't test for that, nice fine! and thanks for playing my game!

Great art direction!

Developer

Thanks! I just used the unity shapes lol :D

I love your sound effects and music – they go really well with the visual style! I think it would be better if you could reduce the number of taps from 10 to 5! Anyway, congratulations on finishing the game!

Developer

Yes definitely haha, thanks for playing! :D

Count Em’ Down! is a really fun and creative take on the bullet-hell genre. The artwork looks great, the sound effects feel satisfying, and the gameplay kept me locked in the whole time!

Developer

Thanks!

This game is a perfect example of “The greatest ideas are the simplest.” You just click to count down while running from enemy but man What a Game! Great execution of the theme. I’m jealous :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I definitely went simple for this one!

really impressive bullet hell, refreshing and fun to play. i really like the VFX and the powerups were great! i love the start menu click, but I agree with your previous comment on decreasing it to 5 or 3 :)

Developer

Thanks for playing, haha my bad

Really liked the minimalism and the mechanics! .. Good Work!

Developer

Thanks!

Fun twist on the theme - and I like the minimalist art style :)

I think maybe clicking 10 times to validate each UI panel is a bit much, but other than that, nice!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah maybe 10 was too much, definitely should be 3 or 5, thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Good commitment to the theme. The auto-clicker felt a little bit like cheating but I'll take it

Developer

Thanks! the auto clicker is a little op haha

Submitted(+1)

didnt love having to manually click multiple times per upgrade honestly, but the game was otherwise pretty cool!!!!

Developer (1 edit)

honestly valid! Could've made it fewer maybe 5 or 3, thanks for the feedback and for playing my game! :D

Submitted(+1)

ramps up fast & the final boss was great! i got the auto clicker upgrade which was a godsend for trackpad.

Developer

Glad you had fun! Also thankfully I fixed the auto clicker bug, it almost didn't make it into the upgrades list haha

just coming back to say: i shared this game with my friend and he said it was one of his favorites of the jam games he's seen! thanks for dropping by and checking my game out too; i really appreciate it.

Developer

Oh wow thanks so much!

I like your take on the theme here and also applying it into the bullet-hell genre, very creative! Also, I liked the artwork of your game. I think you can expand more on the game, and maybe one day make it into steam?

Developer

Thanks! Would definitely need to start from scratch cause of the Game Jam spaghetti code but could be awesome!
