The narrative is hella weird but sure. But the gameplay was honestly really meditative and amazing! I enjoyed playing  it a lot.

Simple, fun, and very polished! nothing else to say.

Very polished and a great concept! Felt quite fun to play and I liked the cat references!

Really clever this, reverse 2048 by way of pool is such a good idea and it plays great. Lovely art too, and the grandma cat framing made me smile. Would love a leaderboard for cuts remaining. Superb entry!

Check out my game if you get a chance, a chess roguelike called Final Gambit: /jam/gmtk-jam-2026/rate/4813276

A very fun and polished experience. Great game!!

I really like how if you start from the idea of "lets make an adding numbers game but reverse" you get to this pool-like mechanic. Super interesting concept! and put together really well, great job!

What an addictive little game! I was initially intimidated by the concept being a bit alien to me (and the number of needed cuts being so high!), but it clicked as soon as I started playing. Love the cat biscuit narrative, easy bonus points for that alone.

Developer

Yayyy, thrilled you enjoyed it! I like to think Grandma cat is a good teacher. 🥰 And thanks so much for the narrative shoutout — I had so much fun with the writing on this one!

Technically impressive entry that is polished all around. A mix of billiard and 2048. really enjoyed it, great job

Very unique mechanic! Loads of fun really and I had a great time playing this!

This game is so unique and creative, It's a very take of the theme countdown and also very fun to play. It's simple, yet very engaging.

The cutting/hitting mechanics is such an original concept! It is hard to master but really great idea

I'm not a big fan of the "heavyness" of the knife manipulation and cutting, i think i would have like something lighter, and quicker maybe?

Great story concept btw ^^

Developer

Thanks for the high praise! I had a lot of fun with the narrative design this year, and Hank and Sean were amazing teammates helping find ways to mark the story sing in gameplay moments, too.

Great feedback about the knife feel as well. By lighter and quicker, are you thinking a visually smaller knife would have felt better? Or just adjusting the feel of the chef’s knife?

I love the effort and lore put into even the games description haha. The game itself is very fun, took me a little too long to realize I can be hitting the Floofs together like pool, I think I thought they would always merge if they hit each other. Pulling off a bif play in games like this always feels good, and the little cat cheer was adorable. Very well polished!

Developer

Thanks so much; I had a TON of fun pitching and shaping the story this year. So glad everything came together in a way you enjoyed! ❤️

10/10, would cut the Floof again :>

Very cute and enjoyable game! It was a nice take on the theme and felt very addictive to play :D

Very nice game, easy to learn but hard to master :D

I loved the Idea, the art was so cute, and the mechanic was so interesting as well. It's such a GMTK-coded game. The only thing  i'd add is a timer or a leaderboard. Otherwise its such a fun cozy game

Developer

Thank you so much! It was great being in the chat with you. You're right that a leaderboard would be cool -- we definitely prioritized the coziness first over the competitiveness

Submitted(+1)

Great game! A lot of games like this only have you splitting or only merging, but here you have to think about both, and I liked that a lot.

Developer

Thanks for noting how we tried to use the mixture of those mechanics in an interesting way. Glad you enjoyed!

Incredible game with incredible visuals. Just like in real life, in this game, I work for a cat. Except this time, instead of filling up one’s food, water and cleaning out the litter, I get to be a chef! Which is pretty epic.

Does cutting the “1” Floof cause a nuclear reaction the same way splitting an atom would? I’m asking for research purposes and have no plans to do anything with whatever information you give me.

Developer(+1)

If you promise not to tell anyone I'll share you our intel on the 1s.

Thanks for playing the game though, I'm glad you enjoyed!

I loved the idea. Was able to finish with cuts to spare... I want a leaderboard for this! I want to top that leaderboar lol. Give me my Floofs!

Developer(+1)

You're right, we should've had a leaderboard haha. How many cuts did you have left? My record is 15
