"One plucky spoon has dug a tunnel to the city outside." is maybe my favourite sentence I've read so far this jam.

This is rad - there's so much here, the writing implies a huge world beyond the scope of the module and it really brings everything to life.

Developer

Hey thanks so much! I was really stuck on how to make Ymirlo's section of The Shackles interesting until I rolled animate objects randomly for a spellbook, really helped a lot there. There's probably a whole other adventure in the escapades of the plucky spoon which I'll try and write some day :)

This is very imaginative, and I love the presentation—with the little illustrations and the map drawn directly on the paper. You make great, personalized use of the different elements of Cairn for exploration. I also really like that you include the works that inspired you; it’s very helpful for capturing the right tone. If I had to nitpick, the light gray text on the left side of the center pages is a bit too light, but that’s a minor detail. The truth is, I absolutely loved it.

Hey that's so kind thanks! My last module using Cairn I felt wasn't using the system to its full potential so I tried to lean into those signs and environment tables here.

That's a good point on the grey text and I'll add it to my list of post jam tweaks that I'd like to go and do once the voting period is over. Thanks again and good luck in the jam yourself!

Keep up the good work, friend!

This is really creative in terms of the NPCs and general world (chainfolk)!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! Chainfolk were one of the first brainstorm ideas that made it through all the iterations of this one, even as other ideas changed quite considerably!

Who doesn't like chainfolk with fancy hats! Some really lovely detail and charm written in this module - Sir Ribbiton! Awesome that you have put art throughout, the hand drawn art are really endearing. Nice work on the module! 🐸

Hey thanks so much! Glad you liked the art, I'm trying to draw more and put it in my work where I can

Weird and cool prison with equally Weird and cool prisoners.

Developer

Thanks so much for checking it out!

I was sceptical first as the information is a bit strewn throughout. But having read it all I can totally see giving 3, 4 players a plot hook each, tell them to keep it from the others and let hell break loose.

Strange combination of high fantasy, fairy-tale and diesel punk, what’s not to like about it? :)

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! I came up with those 4 prisoners and couldn't figure out which to cut/focus on, so it ended up being pretty crowded in there.

Hadnt thought of the party having different secret missions, in my head it was the gang having a shared goal but I like that idea a lot as a way to create chaos!

Tell you about it when I ran it. You’re the first in my bucket list collection :)

Developer

Oo yes please, do feed back how it goes if you give it a whirl :)

I had a great time to be transported into the setting by the writing. Love the premise, and especially the setup! So much lore and world-building implications just from the setup alone. I also like the motivation and hook each setup has, and why we would go this this place. If there’s any plans for the world to be expanded I would glady wait to read it all!

Developer(+1)

Thanks ☺️ I'm glad the hooks and setup drew you in, I might revisit this one and expand it post jam!

I love the actual analog (on paper) artwork!

Thanks so much! Shout out to my kids for letting me borrow their colouring pencils and felt tips!

I love the hand made vibe of this. I think even if people don't run the adventure they can still make use of the weird prisoners. Those are always a fun addition to a dungeon.

Developer

Thanks so much! My initial brainstorm gave me those 4 prisoners as potential goals in the dungeon and I decided to just keep all 4 and have it be an NPC collection as well as a dungeon :)

*Really* creative, such a  cool blend of disparate  motifs. Swans, chains, tanks, fey...

I really like the hand-drawn art, good stuff!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Trying to do more of my own illustrations while raiding my kids' colouring pencils and pens ;)

Adore the hand drawings!

Thanks so much! I'm trying to get past the impostor syndrome and draw draw draw!

Very evocative writing, reminiscent of the more psychedelic part of Appendix N. I also love the vibrant, colorful layout.

Developer

Hey thanks much appreciated! Psychedelia definitely an influence, wanted it to be super trippy!
