Visually very appealing. I think it’s very well-rounded for the space it occupies. It’s up to the players what they do with the place, though I can see most of them turning it into a relaxing spot where they can do things that are more laid-back than raiding dungeons and slaying monsters. I think the menu and the product descriptions with their illustrations are especially cute. Really cool.
Thank you!
Memorable and honestly adorable characters. I hope no party decide to kill them and they can live on in the crooked tavern on and on. Love that it has a whole set of illustrated drink menu!
I appreciate the kind words!
I really like this setting!! I think you chose a layout that works really well for the style/content, and I love the art and layout. The whole thing has such a cohesive narrative style, and you have a lot of specific details that give all the different drinks their own vibes, in addition to the various effects that they have. Really nicely done!
Thanks so much!
This module is excellent! I really enjoy the visuals and the layout. The accordion fold fits this location so well, it almost feels like a pamphlet that adventurers might find on their travels that ultimately draws them to visiting it. I have added a river on my world map where PCs will have a chance to encounter The Crooked Tavern!
Thanks for checking it out!
Amazing work! I really appreciate when talented designers create non-traditional locations like this to explore and hang out in; those are some of the hardest to design and gamify, so I always appreciate having modular sites like this I can drop in to my games!
Thanks for checking it out and leaving feedback!
I think I recall this one being one of the first adventures to have a cover. The speed was impressive!
I like that this is essentially a benign location. There aren't many of those, so it's refreshing. I also like how you've integrated Cairn concepts of diagetic character improvement (e.g. the opportunity to train under the chef). Some people might say they should be worked out between the player and the DM but I think showing how things could play out is helpful. The one thing I'd say is I'm not really feeling/seeing an Appx N vibe. That's fine though - I find these jams are first and formost about finding the motivation to make something cool... Which you absolutely did.
I appreciate you checking it out!
I was reading hoping there'd be a list of cool magical brews and you did not disappoint! So good, really like the night hag who just wants to mix awesome drinks thanks
Thanks for checking it out and leaving a review!
I love this tavern idea, a boat that you relax and have the finest food and drink available but has some dark twists behind the festivities.
I love the artwork and the cover. I like the menu that provided in the back and the drink names are great!
If I ever play carn illl plop this one down for a solo campaign!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
What an understated, lovely piece of work. Such a sense of place. It's just charming and I didn't even miss the lack of darkness or horrifying narrative twists, which is rare for me. It could easily be dropped into almost any campaign and they would be better for it. The menu is great too.
Excellent art (and lots of it!). Stellar design and presentation. The writing is of course a slam dunk from someone who knows the craft and makes it look easy.
Thank you, friend!
This is a great submission in all aspects. We need more boats! Now I know what PDF to grab for a few drinks in a game.
Thank you!
This is a fun and beautifully put-together location. I am going to for sure put this in a Cairn campaign!
thanks! I'm glad you like it!
Extremely fun layout choice and wonderful art inside! Just a genuine joy to read.
Thank you!
Great magical, strange, and dark-cozy location. Love the menu at the end, the table of rumors and the artworks. Also, I like that you did an unusual tavern by putting it on water. I would love to take a couple of drink there. Appreciate that you both included specialty brews and common drinks, for those who do not want to deal with debuff. The brews are hilarious and imaginative. Amazing work.
Thank you!
It's no surprise that a pair of award winning TTRPG authors might turn out something similarly amazing.
The Crooked Tavern is darkly whimsical from its prose to its art and it sits pretty within a layout and form factor that has such a nice novelty. It will look so great at a table!
The drinks are my favorite part here. I'd hesitate to drink it but the Carbuncle Cider is my favorite.
Thanks for the kind words!
Amazing layout!
I find the illustrations charming. I like the libations and bill of fare. A sturdy rumor table is always a welcome sight, and this one does heavy lifting providing some world building. I think you managed to address the assigned title ably. The layout is very clear. The situation, location seems like it would be easy to drop into a game and be useful.
On the room for improvement side of things... Disappointed there doesn't seem to be an actual map or flow chart for the locations on the boat. Not sure what the actual Appendix N authors or books might be an influence here. But overall good work. Thanks.
This looks beautiful! I can't wait to read it
