I wanted to create a game where stargazing feels interactive and meaningful. The player is not just watching the sky, but actively observing, identifying and protecting Earth from what comes from it.

Cool idea! I like the voxel graphics. Having to wait to identify meteors really hurt the pacing for me โ I spent most of my time just waiting to shoot. It was also hard to prioritize which meteors to target since the map got quite crowded.
Combo system was a cool idea, with a sped up pacing I think itโd work really well!
Thanks for playing and for the detailed feedback! Iโm glad you liked the combo system. The pacing and meteor readability are definitely things Iโd improve in the future!
what a really cool game, good combitation of precition and strategic, was hard at the beginning but was enjoyable and interesting, in a while is hard to focus cause is hard to find whitch elements are coming closer until is to late, but was interesting and fun tu play.
very good entry
Thanks so much for playing! Iโm glad you enjoyed it.
We really liked the concept and gameplay loop behind this game! It was satisfying and definitely spiked our cortisol, haha. The core game is pretty polished -- the only piece of feedback we have was to hopefully make the meteors bigger as they approach bc the map is 2d, so it was hard to tell which star was closer. Great game!
Thanks for playing! Iโm really glad you enjoyed the gameplay loop. Making the meteors easier to identify as they approach is definitely a great suggestion!
THIS IS SUCH A COOL WAY TO TURN STARGAZING INTO A FULL-ON JOB! ๐ญ
I really enjoyed the idea behind Earthwatch. Instead of just looking at the stars, you basically turned the player into the person responsible for figuring out โIs that thing up there harmless… or are we about to get cooked?โ ๐ That scan โ identify โ decide โ laser loop is surprisingly addictive.
The part I liked most was having to prioritize targets. You can't just mindlessly blast everything on the screen — you actually have to check what's coming in and decide what deserves your attention. When several objects start appearing, the pressure ramps up FAST. My brain went straight into NASA intern panic mode ๐ญ
The 3D voxel-style presentation also gives it a really nice identity. The observatory setup makes the whole thing feel like you're sitting in an actual monitoring station rather than simply playing another space shooter. And I really liked how the theme is integrated into the gameplay itself — you're literally watching the sky and interpreting what's coming from it.
One thing I'd love to see in a future version is even more impact feedback when Earth gets hit or when you successfully destroy something. A bigger visual reaction, warning effect, screen shake, or some dramatic alarm could make those moments hit even harder. Also, as the difficulty ramps up, a few more types of threats or upgrades could make the later game even more chaotic in a fun way.
But honestly, this has a really solid core loop. It's simple to understand, but once the objects start piling up, suddenly you're sweating over pixels trying to save the planet ๐
Really enjoyed this one, Juan! Great job and good luck with the jam! ๐ฐ๏ธ๐
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! Iโm really glad you enjoyed the core loop and the target prioritization. Your suggestions for stronger feedback and effects are definitely something Iโd love to improve!
Hard game! I got about 9475 points.
I think the idea is very cool and the game looks very very nice and polished. Good job!!!
Thanks for playing! 9475 is a great score ๐ Iโm really glad you liked the idea and the visuals. Thank you!
14445 points, with one minute left! This game could use some online leaderboards :)
Gameplay: I definitely had some fun, although I feel the game is a bit too hard. With the number of objects incoming late in the game and the player not being able to shoot unless the object is identified, I don't know if it's possible to survive till the end. What I'm saying is the game could use a bit more balance.
Graphics + audio: Simple but has it's own style. Music is dynamic and fits the gameplay. The sound effects also compliment the game nicely. Some particle effects or screen shake, when the player is hit could be cool though.
Theme: I loved the "active" take on stargazing. From one side it's definitely "stargazing", plain and simple. From the other, you have your own original twist on it. Nice!
Thanks for playing and for the detailed feedback! Iโm glad you enjoyed the gameplay, audio, and theme. I agree that the difficulty could use some balancing, and screen shake or more visual feedback would be great additions!
Great take on the theme, and definitely a lot of fun! I would have preferred being able to move the cursor with the mouse, but itโs still fun with the keyboard! Good job!
Thanks for playing! Iโm glad you enjoyed it! Mouse controls would definitely be a nice improvement for a future version. ๐
Cool game, I like the 3D Voxel artstyle and the concept where you look at the stars to determine whether or not they are a threat. The controls were also satisfying and the game has potential for updates such as upgrades with different lasers as well as different planets and obstacles. I enjoyed playing it!
Thanks again for playing! Iโm really glad you liked the concept and voxel style. Iโd love to explore upgrades and new planets in the future!
An interesting concept, and it definitely fulfills the fantasy of shooting a laser, which is a big plus :D The theme fits well, too. Another plus for being in 3D—it's the first 3D game I've come across while rating so far. A slight minus for the sound effects, which were borderline annoying (though my own game didn't even have music...).
It would be interesting to see it more polished :)
i thought the same, it took a while to get the concept, still a great game
Thanks for playing! Iโm glad you stuck with it and enjoyed the game! ๐
i do hope youve rated my game also, i realy want to get out of 10 to 11 ratings, if you can pls help
Thanks for playing! Iโm glad you enjoyed the concept and the 3D style. And yes, the sound effects are definitely something Iโd improve with more time! ๐
my head was spinning playing this game but it was worth it, maby it was a little to repetetive but it was very nice
Thanks for playing! Iโm glad you enjoyed it despite the repetition. Really appreciate you giving it a try! ๐
Great entry! I bet with some more time and a few more elements added to the gameplay loop this could be a full fledged game!
Thanks so much! I agree, with more time and a few more gameplay elements, thereโs definitely room to expand the game!
Trying to quickly deduce where you should scan first was really fun! I do wish there was some more indication for when you got hit, as I often didn't notice when I lost health.
Thanks for playing! Thatโs really useful feedback. A clearer hit indicator would definitely make the health system easier to understand!
