I would love to polish it more and balance it more and maybe add more constellations and sound effects and particles to juice it up. But unfortunately there is only so much time left in a day :)

It was okay, though a little confusing and I feel there could have been a better tutorial. Card designs were nice.

very good idea, play with luck and stats to bless the force, interesting, like an alpha is really good, it need more effects and sound to make it more enjoyable, but i love this entry was fun to try to complete it

Even though i didnt clearly understood that how they affect crafting but still managed to forge the legendary sword. I am not really good at kind of games where i need to look through so many stats but still able to complete the game. Good work overall. Had a good time playing this. :)

YOOO, THIS ONE WAS ACTUALLY REALLY FUN! ⚔️✨

The blacksmith + constellations + sword enchanting idea is such a cool combo. I really liked how the constellations actually affect the stones  it makes the STARGAZING theme feel connected to the gameplay, not just the visuals. And finally getting that stronger sword is pretty damn satisfying 😂

The stone effects + randomness kept me thinking, “okayyy, one more try!” 😆

If you ever polish this more, blacksmith SFX, hammer impacts, particles, and showing the constellations visually would make the forging feel SO much more powerful.

Definitely giving this a top rating from me! Great job and GG! 🛠️

And PLEASE, if you have some free time, play my game too and leave me a review! I’d genuinely really appreciate your feedback. ❤️

Good luck with the jam, dev! 🌟

The game is simple, but fun. Well, there’s a bit too much randomness in some cases… but maybe I’m just unlucky. =D

Developer (1 edit)

Yea, randomness was really hard to balance and I agree 100%. I was trying to make it a little bit hard but not annoying at the same time. So now it is really simple for some people and really bad for others (with worse luck :D).

Maybe some kind of additional "active" skills could help a little bit with that or just more decision making of some kind, so player could feel like he have more control over it.

Thanks for playing! :)

I had my legendary sword by the end of day 6... after a couple of tries :)

Graphics: I gotta say- the swords looked cool and the menus were readable. It would be cool, if you had a constellation picture on the button, not only the name.

Audio: no audio :( Some blacksmith sounds and medieval-style music would do a lot for atmosphere.

Gameplay: I had fun! I played the game to the finish and I see potential here.

Theme: I liked how the constellations were at the heart of the game. I didn't like that it took me a second to figure out this were constellations and not spells or elements :)

Over all- lots of potential here. Could be elevated just by adding small elements like sounds and some background graphics (maybe a blacksmith workshop). Also- if, instead of picking the constellations from the menu, I could pick them from the sky. What I'm trying to say, is that you are onto something here. Keep it up!

Developer

I also think there is some kind of potential for some small full game. I should add some quick sfx at least (those make so much difference). Thank you a lot for playing and giving nice and thoughtful feedback :)

Well, someone is crazy good blacksmith :D

The game wasn’t explained very well, so I didn’t understand what to do from the beginning. But after reading the description on the page, I understood how it works.

The game has a good idea and a lot of potential! There was no music or sound, though. I’m not sure if the problem was on my side or if you didn’t add any sound, but I think the game would be much better with some music and sound effects.

I also think the game has a lot of potential for development, like crafting multiple weapons, having legendary cards that give you better chances, and adding more interactive elements. For example, hammering the swords before delivering them, haha!

Overall, it was a good game, but I didn’t really see the connection with the jam’s theme. I think adding more elements related to the theme could make the game even better!

Thanks for playing. I agree with all the feedback. Theme is for sure not greatly incorporated. I had some prototypes where you catch stars and use them to forge, but I was trying to simplify game and maybe overdone it a little bit :D

There is a lot of room for expanding it. That's for sure.

About sound and music. Once again I agree, it would 10x improve juice and engagement.  I work a full-time job and didn't really have the time, so I'm putting the blame on life :D

Thanks!

Yeah we should all blame life, I wish game dev was my full time job 🥲

the game needs a tutorial, it is nice but ive spent some time to know what is going on, I realy like the design and style of the weapons very cool game

Developer

Thank you. I've added quick "How to play" in description. Maybe it will help a little bit

Very neat concept, with a lot of potential for future develpoment! I feel like it needs some better tutorials, since it took me a while to grasp what to do.

Developer

100% agree I was feeling similar. It would be nice to add more juice and a little bit more straight forward or more engaging game loop. Clicking buttons is not really that engaging. At first I wanted to add 3D dice rolls and drag droping stones like in MMORPG games but at my current level it was hard to achieve :D

Thanks for playing!
