Loved the overall feel of the game and the way you implemented difficulty in terms of altering game mechanincs.
Pulses syncing with music is cool, but you have some tracks in the game that have too few or too many pulses.
It was pretty hard because of the moving objects, especially moving circles, and i can't imagine completing this game on no fun mode because of that.

Really nice looking game, good execution of your chosen theme.

This is really, really cool. The color palette is perfect, and I love the pulse tied to the beat mechanic. As others  notes, there are a few things that aren't 64x64px (the pulse, the white outlines that show up on occasion when you eat a pellet), and when you get SO many particles it can get a smidge laggy — but I really enjoyed my time with this game regardless. Well done!

Nice entry! Simple but extremely effective visuals, cool music, and having two different game modes is a fantastic touch. It’s a shame about the 64x64 misalignment, but all the other finesse and polish more than make up for it ;) Great job!

Amazing. Creative and beautiful game. Although it is technically not 64x64 because of the pulse, I don’t think it matters. Even if last touch for making pulse pixel perfect added, the game would stay the same, AWESOME. The best game I’ve played among entries.

I thought about that while I was implementing the pulse and decided “close enough” because I discovered this jam about 3 days before it ended. Glad you liked it <3

I definitely like FUN. Fun visuals and good game concept!

Pretty goated, I love this a lot.

Very cool game, I love how you used the restriction as almost a form of optimization by requiring fewer particles to light everything up. I had one issue which is that on Fun I had a TON of pulses and it often lagged my game in confined areas where the particles bounced around a lot. No Fun was ironically enough more fun for me, very good game!

Developer

I like the no fun option too. More strategy in getting a low score. Thanks for playing <3

Graphics is very well done! I enjoy the palette a lot since I also used it to make a previous game before 😆

Good music choice. I like the sound effect you you die as well, but I think maybe it could use a little bit of other sounds when you moving or changing songs?

The game itself has pretty simple mechanics, just a simple maze escaping game. But I’m still kinda confused with the controls aside from the movement in “Fun” mode. I get that it changes songs but also sometimes change the way the reveal works? Still not quite sure after playing for a while.

Either way it’s not a bad entry at all. Good job!

Really awesome use of the theme! Dishonest though - I picked "no fun" and had fun anyway...

Really cool game, you nailed the "seeing with sound" concept! The only thing that was a bit frustrating was waiting for the rotating X obstacles; I feel like making them a bit faster wouldn't have made them much harder to get around, but would have made the gameplay flow better.

The amount of time I spent outside the level in the you shouldn't be here area is astronomical! I thought something would happen, maybe I haven't spent enough time out there. Good game though! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Well done!

It really brings the sound and graphics together, great interpretation of "seeing with sound"! :D

Wow, I really like this game a lot!

Creative idea, perfect synergy between graphics and sound, and a fun AND a no-fun mode =)

You have a great jam entry here, congratulations!

I really loved the aesthetics! I think beautiful, smooth, minimalist graphics like these are fantastic. Great use of the theme. Awesome project, congrats!

Very nice effect, love your take on this theme.

Had some framedrop when I got too many Reflect powerups consecutively, but otherwise it was very fun!

It can get wild.. it was on the list of things to improve but what ya gonna do? lol

Woah, really creative and spot-on take of the theme! The beat pulsating along to the rhythm of song in fun mode really added to the experience. I was immersed. Excellent game!

I left a comment on the game page, but I really enjoyed the FUN play mode.  Nice work!
