Very creative concept. I couldn't play all the leves because i got stuck on one with the 2 platforms but I think it's an amazing game. The visuals are very cute and the gameplay is not too much complicated. I liked it a lot!

Developer

Much appreciated! The controls certainly aren't very easy to pick up, I'm still playing around with them. But very happy you gave it a go and enjoyed, thanks again!

Heyyy, awesome work!! After missing a couple of your recent projects I couldn't resist dropping by when I saw the jam was still going on... and as suspected, you totally nailed it again! Rotating your character to stick to and repel off of surfaces is super creative, and really makes you slow down and experiment to get from level to level. (My final time was 20:24, so the "slow" part especially applied to me, haha! Very satisfying when the level gimmicks finally "click," though. xD I'd love to go back and see if my (existent??) pro gamer skills could pill me through a lot quicker next time!)

The music is chill and an absolute bop as always, and the magnetic field woosh is a satisfying touch, too... Love the presentation, the UI is top-notch as others have observed! Congratulations on another awesome game—and hope life's been going great in the meantime! ^^ 🎉

Yoooo thank you so much!! Yeah, I've been trying to get back in the jam habit again for a few months now, I was just playing some of your games again the other day!
I wanted to make a kind of magnetic spin on "Cleaning the System" by Nasheik, if you happen to know it. Played around with a lot of different variations in the magnet and the scale of the levels, still not sure what I'll do with it. But really appreciate you sticking with it 'til the end, and that's actually a faster time than most playtests! There's also my personal best in the screenshots if you'd like to give that a go ;)

Had a lot of fun putting the art together too, the UI was kind of an happy accident I leaned into at the end, but I'm glad people noticed.
Thank you so much for taking the time to play, and your kind words.

Hope you've been well, and hope to jam again soon! :D

thanks, reminded me of my childhood playing with magnets

Happy to hear that, magnets are fun :D Thanks for playing!

really liked the idea here, and the game looked really good! I had trouble keeping clockwise and counter clockwise straight, haha... Good work!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I'm still trying to figure out ways how to make movement a little more intuitive, appreciate you giving it a go!

That's a 5 star originality for me. Great take on charge also loved the music and visuals.

Wow, thank you so much, very glad you enjoyed it!

First thought was that the seamless UI was very nice, liked that a lot!
I was pretty bad at it, but, I liked what it was doing a lot and i respect the amount of work you've put into that character controller! Very impressive work for such a short time.
Wish I’d been able to get a bit further ( got stuck 5 ), but I’m not going to knock it for my skill issues!

Nice work!

Much appreciated! It's definitely not just you, I think I have the "difficult to master" down, but not the "easy to learn".
Spent over half the jam just messing with various iterations, rigidbody, free rotation, many different raycast setups. Of course by the end I had a lot of practice myself. Still playing around with it!

Thanks again for giving it a go!

Genuinely had to use my browser inspector to figure out where the game stopped and the page started. Started there and only got better. This is seriously such a polished entry!

I adore the small details of the controls lighting up in the bottom as you press them. Such a subtle addition, but really drives home your attention to detail.

The music, the art, the overall aesthetic and game design. So well done.

I had a bit of trouble where on Mac + Firefox if I had the magnets with the same polarity facing each other, the game would freeze. Not sure exactly what was going on, but did what I could to not let that get in the way of my enjoyment!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I tend to maybe spend a bit too much time on the art vs. the actual game but had a lot of fun putting it all together, very glad you enjoyed.
Sorry to hear about the freezing issues, I'm afraid I wasn't able to playtest on Mac but I'll try and look into it!

Thanks again for your kind words!

I really like the idea for the gameplay i think its fun, its a simple idea but its well executed for example getting like a speed boost using the magnet's opposing side towards a direction thats pretty creative, and magnet goob looks funny heh, peak

Developer

Much appreciated! Went back and forth on keeping the magnets face, glad I did and glad you enjoyed :)

It's a really stunning game, the mechanics, ui design and overall aesthetic are so tight. I couldn't quite get the finesse of the controls but that's a skill issue, I'll have to come back and give it another shot when I'm a bit fresher 🙂

Developer

Thanks a lot! The controls definitely take some getting used to, could've probably done with some more tutorial stuff in game. If I have one tip it's that I think people tend to overdo it with the turning, most obstacles/levels are really about a few precise turns at the right moment. But thanks again for giving it a go!

Awesome game! The gradual introduction of different movement techniques was great, as well as leaving a challenge to the player to master some of the flips and different propulsions. Very well done and cool take on a platformer! My time was something like 17 minutes

Developer

Thank you very much! I left it a bit late to actually construct a game around the movement, but very happy to hear you figured it out and managed to get to the end. Good time too, quite a bit quicker than several friends who playtested!

I liked the game a lot and I thought the concept was great! Would personally have appreciated joypad controls, but I get that it's a game jam :)

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing and commenting! I'll definitely look into joypad/touch controls for future jams :)
