Omg, what a plot twist!

Loved the game, visuals are nice and the chase scenes were just the right amount of tense. The dude even jumpscared me once, when I stayed to read the text and he spawned on top of me. XD

It was from that point on kinda hard to focus on both reading what he has to say and focus on running away, though. Still, had a lot of fun finishing this one, good job!

Amazing platformer. I feel like its so hard to design movement based platformers - and you guys did an amazing job!! I like your application of the theme and how you actually had a storyline for the game. Amazing job!

Loved a lot about this one!!! The mood/atmosphere i would say was the best part, counting colors, music, story and worldbuilding. Difficulty progression also felt good, always having a bit of breathing room to understand new concepts but never time for the mind to wander (cuz there was also the story on screen); That speedy shadow genuinly scared me when i was getting stuck in something and it was zooming at mach5 at me. The art was effective and did a lot with the (relative) few it had; Great color choice. Same with the music, never got annoyed at the background song as it is quite pleasent but still keeps me engaged in the task. The theme presence here is obvious and effective. The last levels got a bit hard but i dont think thats a problem, i still finished them cuz i was curious about the story(which i enjoyed), and it did feel like a challange. And as I see has been mentioned, the text was sometimes hard to follow, either cuz you moved it weirdly or you were running for your life. Still i did read it all. Oh and i loved the death animation.
Thanks for the game!

Wow this game is class. I thought I was just in for a platformer, and then the story kicked in. Really great worldbuilding here with the music and bits of story sprinkled in. The "player" reminds me a bit of undertale genocide route and the shadow chasing like in rayman. I loved this game, probably my favourite I've played in this jam. Super atmospheric, really well done to all involved!

The team clearly has a really strong grasp of platformer design. Every level brings something creative and fresh, and the controls feel incredibly smooth. The difficulty hits a nice balance too—it’s challenging enough to keep things interesting without ever feeling frustrating.

The connection to the jam theme works pretty well, and overall, this is a small but very polished game. Definitely worth checking out!

Nice game, but movement feels a bit of like levels are to tight, but overall cool)

This is one of my favourites so far! The dialogue and atmosphere is awesome!

This was an awesome game to play! The movement felt super satisfying and responsive. I really liked the writing and the narrator's dialogue, especially how you used it both mechanically and narratively. Great job!

Really liked the colour palette of this game! I was so locked in during the platforming so I missed majority of the story but still had a great time. The following shadow clones were my arch enemies in Super Mario Galaxy so it was nice to something similar here and put my training in use. Only change I would do is to maybe add a textbox that does not move on top of the player. The text shook / jittered a lot when moving fast but I was able to read it still.

ohh!The storytelling is totally spot on.

Lovely game! The story and theming was enjoyable, and the gameplay was simple, but effective.
Would love to see this expanded on with some polish to the gameplay/levels, and some expanding on the worldbuilding!

Either way, be extremely proud of yourself for getting this made within a week! Well done!

PS: A great change would be more consistency on how the text appears (e.g. always in the middle / upper side of the screen, rather than above the character), cause the current way made it cut off / hard to read sometimes.

The take on the theme was strightforward, but the execution was brilliant and the game looks stunning. The sound effects and the music is beautiful and the story was intriguing enough so I couldn't stop moving in the last levels. The level of polish is insane too to be made only in a week. Congrats!

Fantastic story!
Loved the way the ending resolves. This one was very creative.

Really liked it!

I had a hard time reading the test and trying to play at the same time but it was still fun.

A problem i had, the text is shaking a little while i'm moving.

Very good!

This is great! love the tileset art and the little guy, the soundtrack is immersive and i love how you added cool little new obstacles every couple of levels gradually adding complexity while not overwhelming players and keeping them engaged

Absolutely peaked on the narrative and visuals. Really good work!

Such a cool narrative! The platforming felt really good!

Very cute art! Wish there was more to the platforming though, it feels repetitive after a bit.
