Nice story and presentation well done!

Very good written story!  I like the art and music too.

The story was very well written and thought out. The intrigue amongst the villagers' storylines felt like a TV detective show, and the theology and morality topics explored make you think. I played it a few times to explore different branches. I also feel it's quite clever to use the confessional as a mechanic for anonymous clue giving.

I really wish there was a feature to "skip" cutscenes if you've played them already so you can jump to points where there's real branching.

Thank you so much for playing, it really means a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Will keep that in mind, might do an update to work on the feedback I've gotten.

I love the art and music

Thank you for playing :)

I really like the atmosphere and story. The gameplay started with choices but then they just stopped? I don't know if it's intentional

Developer

Thank you, for playing. It isn't intended, no. Could you let me know which scene it was if you remember? Otherwise it may be that the only option was something small such as "..." and you didn't see it. Sorry about that, I didn't really test the game on a smaller screen/different resolutions.

I don’t know if it was just my computer, but I wasn’t able to make the game fullscreen. The text was also quite small and pixelated, which made it hard to read.

Developer

Sorry about that! Should've put more options for increasing font size / making it easier to read.

No worries, jams are all about learning and improving :)

Good music sets the right mood. The art is nice. But I didn't find the gameplay very entertaining. I never actually finished the game.

Great job! It's impressive what you accomplished in a week, especial regarding a such a long story!

Developer

Thank you!

Wow, this was amazing! I've done a few game jams by now and have seen a few other story games here and there. I would say this is the first one I've gone through that has a very well thought out and interesting story! The visuals were also really good too!

Developer

Thank you so much, this means a lot!

Very nice visuals and an interesting story, as well as having different choices for each character and the detective. Although I feel the pacing is a bit slow despite being able to click to instantly generate the text (I would have to click quite a lot). I think it would also be nice to have an option to instantly display the full dialogue up to each choice (if possible). Still, good job on the game!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Will keep it in mind for future development/projects.

I spent quite a while playing through this! The story really pulled me in, even though English isn’t my first language.

One small issue: on my smaller monitor, the text felt a bit too small and kept moving upward, which made it harder to read. It would be great to have a font size option, or just slightly larger text overall!

Still, I really enjoyed the story and wanted to keep playing :)

Thank you so much for playing!

The dialogue pacing felt a bit too slow for me. I would've loved a faster text speed or a skip option, as waiting between lines to read wasn't really my thing. Other than that, it was great!

Developer

Of course, will consider, thank you for playing!

What do I do after the text stops for the first time?

Developer

Aaah sorry about that, I didn't think about that not being very clear! You click the "..." to continue the dialogue

Submitted

Ohhh, ok. Cool game! Definitely more story-driven than the others I've seen so far.
