Pun lover here!! You made this in just 48 hours?! The difficulty feels really well balanced and the story is fun too. I especially love the art style. The visuals are gorgeous and the color palette feels so nice to look at!!

Came back and saw you added a WebGL version! Nice!!
The mouse sensitivity feels a bit too high though, and I got a little dizzy sometimes. Also, does the background music only play once? It might be better if it loops!
I really like the bright colors and visuals. Making a 3D game is never easy, keep going!!
The pacing was great. I was panicking the whole time but somehow still made it through haha.
The CAPTCHA part was definitely the hardest for me. Itch also made me do a CAPTCHA when I was posting earlier, so that made it even funnier. I kept expecting one of those “select all the crosswalks” image puzzles to show up next
Found this randomly on the jam page and clicked because the cover art caught my eye. Didn’t expect it to be this fun!!
The difficulty progression feels really good and fits the theme well. I also liked that you can either observe from a distance or get closer to different characters to figure out the answer. GG!
I’m a good banker now!! Overall this felt really complete and fit the theme very well. The sound effects also matched the visuals nicely.
My only small issues were that the text (on the computer ) was a bit too small for me, although that might just be my screen, and sometimes I wished I could skip the door opening closing animations and waiting time. Keep it up!!
Simple but really cute game!! I tried so hard to find the wolf, but ended up killing some innocent sheep instead haha.
Everything felt really smooth to play. And honestly, your coding is definitely good enough for this game! Being able to make what you wanted to make already means a lot. It’s not bad at all :)
Such a cute little game!! The music, visuals, and writing all work really well together. It made me feel like I was sitting in a small bar at night while it was raining outside, with this warm orange light keeping me safe inside.
The story was really engaging, and even as a non native English speaker I could still get immersed in it. I also really liked the dice mechanic. It adds just enough gameplay to a text heavy game ( some visual novels are basically just clicking to see the next line - why not just make a video??).
Overall, really cozy and enjoyable to play!
Rated and left some feedback! My game is herehttps://zaozizhutang.itch.io/escape-before-you-wake also a puzzle game!
I love puzzle games! I did run into a bug on the clockwise level though. I think the resolution was off, so the left side of the screen got cut off and I couldn’t read the clue 🥲
Such a shame because I really wanted to keep playing! Let me know if you fix it, I’d love to come back. Really enjoyed the first few puzzles!
Thanks so much for the feedback!! It’s actually more of a puzzle game than a platformer , the platforming is mostly just the way we present it.The main gameplay is finding clues from the NPCs and the hints on the walls to figure out the correct door, and it gets more complicated in later levels. Sorry we didn’t communicate that clearly enough. We’ll definitely improve the guidance!
Thanks for playing!!
Thank you so much!! And yeah, you're totally right about the S key — it ended up not being necessary after the tutorial. We had a few coordination issues when designing the levels, so the controls aren't quite as consistent as they should be 😭
I also updated the Notion hint guide to make the final hint for the last level much more direct! If you feel like checking it out, I'd love for you to see the solution, because that little interaction is actually one of my favorite ideas in the game haha.
Thanks again for playing and for the feedback!!
I spent quite a while playing through this! The story really pulled me in, even though English isn’t my first language.
One small issue: on my smaller monitor, the text felt a bit too small and kept moving upward, which made it harder to read. It would be great to have a font size option, or just slightly larger text overall!
Still, I really enjoyed the story and wanted to keep playing :)
Hey! Really fun game!! The first time I loaded it, it took quite a while and then I couldn’t do anything… so I drank every soda instead 😂 (If you ever expand the game, please make that an achievement)
After refreshing the page, everything worked fine. I really liked the theme, and the slightly creepy atmosphere was done really well!
Thank you so much for the feedback!! I’m really happy someone actually got what we were trying to do :)
We’ll definitely improve the tutorial in a future version. For now, we’ve added a temporary spoiler-free hint guide in the description, so hopefully more people can make it to the end — there are a few special things waiting there!!
The visuals and instructions were really clear, so I got into the game right away!! I confidently picked Normal at first… and then couldn’t even get past Wave 1 haha.I ended up playing way longer than I expected because every time I died I kept thinking, “That was such a dumb way to die, I’ll do better next time!”
The only thing I didn’t really get was how it connected to the theme. Other than that, really fun game!!
This is honestly one of the most complete games I’ve played today!! The guidance was really clear and I barely got stuck anywhere. I could totally see this being expanded with some roguelike elements too!
One small suggestion: maybe add a bit more context at the beginning about what I’m working toward. Otherwise I was just mining in a cave wondering if I’d somehow been tricked into an endless mining shift haha.
I’m a huge Rusty Lake fan, so I really wanted to play this!! Unfortunately the screen scaling made it a bit hard to progress, I couldn’t click the Yes/No buttons, and in fullscreen the bottom half of the screen was covered.
If you’re using Unity, setting the Canvas Scaler to Scale With Screen Size and using your project resolution (like 960×540) might help!
Hope I can come back and play the full game :)
