How does the game fit the theme?
NPCs will tell lies, and you need to discern whom you can trust, in order to find the correct path forward.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some of the bushes, some minor backend code for dependency injection, and the shader for the sprites and ground. Those were re-used from previous projects to save time on basic groundwork so we can actually make the game parts of the game

I love 2.5D games, and you did a really great job with it here! The art is lovely, and the mix of 2D characters with the 3D environment works really well. If I had to suggest anything, I’d probably polish the UI a bit and add some more guidance for the player, especially at the beginning. Overall, really nice work!

The art is lovely!  It's a neat presentation of the 'one tells the truth and the other lies' concept.

The visuals and the sound are amazing, congrats!

Sprites are very cute! I had trouble figuring out what to do at the beginning, but I figured it out by the second trial. neat idea for a game.

The sprites are so pretty! I love the artstyle and the music.

Wonderful art style.

I like the environment art for this one. Very nice implementation of 2D art in 3D space.

I absolutely love the art and the music. I was a little lost on the clues first but I caught on. Great work!

Simple but fun gameplay! I like the idea that player needs to check around and remember what they saw before checking who's lying and who's not. Would be nice if this game has some sound effect when interacting with NPCs (for example the SFX when they talk)

The art and designs of the characters/world is fantastic so great job to those who did that!

I am not sure if it was intentional but i would've loved if i didn't have to click the box then go talk to the character again for them to continue the dialogue, that was a bit jarring.

The artwork and soundtrack immediately set a great atmosphere. I usually tend to skip text boxes in games, but the presentation here genuinely hooked me and made me want to read through everything. I reached the goal pretty quickly!

If you decide to expand on this concept in the future: I wasn't entirely sure if I caught the clues correctly to figure out the right path. I ended up picking the path where the dialogue accurately described past events, but a bit more clarity around the clue mechanics would make the deduction feel even more rewarding.

Also, a quick note on a small bug: interacting with the blue fire sometimes triggered a "test false 1" debug message.

yeah i noticed that test message last night, but i already built the game and uploaded it, so its in there now lol. thanks for playing
