How does the game fit the theme?
As assistant manager, it is your job to weed out slackers from your subordinates. Slackers don't easily make themselves known, so you'll have to deduce their true nature from their actions.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
These Godot addons were used for this projects:
-Godot Traits: https://godotengine.org/asset-library/asset/2483
-RichTextLabel2: https://godotengine.org/asset-library/asset/3254
-Controller Icons: https://godotengine.org/asset-library/asset/1429

All other assets are made personally by us: Code, art, sound effects and music included. We've also included credits to the team in the game itself.

How many people worked on the game?

I love the concept, really says a lot about capitalism and toxic work culture. Unfortunately, I am on MacOS, so I only got to walk around. If it helps - I would get stuck at the workstation once I pressed E, but pressing E again unfreezes my character.

Ah... Really sorry to hear that. We managed to catch that bug the day of turn in because one of our team members has MacOS. Fortunately, said team member having a MacOS device should make it much easier to debug and fix, but it's definitely a really annoying  thing to have to deal with, especially when it was the last day of work. We've got that as a pretty high priority item in our (concerningly large) bug list.

I enjoyed the art and the ominous boss. It was fun seeing the bulletin board become filled with papers and unproductive sticky notes as time went on.

I personally didn't  have the most fun time with the gameplay, as I felt like I was just walking around the office most of the time. I ended up just delivering all employees, regardless of their productivity, to the boss. There didn't seem to be any downside to that.

Thank you for the feedback! To address your concerns, we've found from what few playtests we've had that reception to the current gameplay is fairly mixed. It's rather barebones, and many (and I really do mean many) features/ideas were cut to get something out for the jam with what little time we had. As for how you managed to toss every employee to the boss with little downside, there IS a penalty for "terminating" productive employees, so you may have just gotten incredibly lucky (which realistically shouldn't be a factor in gameplay). Game balance, less gameplay ambiguity and less reliance on "good luck" are something we aim to address for future versions of the game.

I really like the graphics of the game and the map that was created was cool. I would totally play this game again!

The intro was great! Loved the visuals but the employees seemed rather sparce? I think you could add many more preople/higher spawning frequency

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! Regarding the employee spawns, it was integrated pretty last minute, so it could definitely use some work. The office is either filled to the brim with employees or nearly devoid of them, so we'll be sure to look into that for the after jam release.

WTF I loved this! :D I really liked the visuals. Especially the intro and when going into the "bosses office". Very funny gameplaywise and being able to yeet your colleagues into the bosses office. Hope your game gets a little bit more traction and ratings, because it is really good and fun! :)

this game is so cool guys. woot woot!
