How does the game fit the theme?
In a space station, exploration modules require at least 2 people aboard to be controlled - with fewer, they won't be able to come back.
As a manager of this station, you need to make sure this safety mesure is respected, because you can't trust them to not thrust themselves into deep space eternaly.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Space Background from the space background generator:

Otto Ojala / ottoojala.com for the pirkkala Font Asset

Really liked the art style of your game. I am a sucker for little goofy guys

Developer

Glad you like them

Not bad, has a really nice concept - dont trust one person to do the job - and the artsyle is really pretty, i liked it <3

Developer

Thank, we put a lot of effort to make the game feel alive

Really charming artstyle, and a very unique concept! Audio is also nice, and it fits the theme quite well! Unfortunately I'm terrible at these types of time management games, but I enjoyed it nonetheless!

Really nice job :D

also quick question, do the guys that thrust themselves into deep space eternally have a death wish, or do they just all have a smooth brain the size of a walnut?

Developer(+1)

I know someone in your team that will be happy you like is artstyle.
For the selfthrusting guys, the explanation I like it that, because the exploration modules are automaticly launching, they're just waiting for someone to join them, as they trust the others (but shouldn't). But the death wish idea is funnier.

I love these little guys, they’re so cute! But what about the gameplay—is the whole point just to keep one guy off the platform?

Developer

Glad you like them, we put a lot of effort for them to not go into the vacuum of space.

And for the gameplay, you have 5 day to "survive" and each day, the cost to travel increase and you need to monitor the expedition module to not lose them and be able to let them collect enought resources to survive the whole journey. And to do so, you need to cancel the expedition module with only one person, as it will not come back.

Really love the art style and I'm a big fan of these kinds of time management games.  I was a bit confused about some aspects of the core game loop though.  I understood you weren't supposed to launch with less than two people or with an overcrowded module, and were supposed to launch with people who had collected supplies, but I wasn't quite sure how to tell good people to launch with from bad, so it often felt a bit random to me whether to cancel the launch or not.  Does the appearance of the people determine whether they're somebody you want to allow onboard?  Cool concept and very charming in any case!

Thank you for your comment, we had something planned for the appearances, but didn't had the time to implement it (mainly because most of the team was not often available )
