All code was written from scratch.
Art assets were either specifically drawn for the game, or images that were cropped, heavily edited and then painted over.
Music was made from scratch.
Approximately half of the sound effects were recorded in house, and the rest were edited from Pixabay.

Game is cool but gameplay takes too long. Waiting sessions are a bit boring
I think the game had a bug that all i ate was fine and i just died of hunger. Loved the visuals and it was great looking.
I was waiting for a jumpscare to happen but there was none. And was he william dafoe? becus they looked a like !

It was a fantastic gaming experience! The sound design perfectly matches the eerie atmosphere—everything about it is excellent! I collapsed from hunger right at the end, so I was frantically wishing the shopkeeper would just hurry up
game is really fun!! i would love to see an update where the game gets more difficult as you go!
We're actually planning on going deeper into the mechanics and gameplay after the jam! Still sorting out the details though so no promises.

Big fan of this. The game design is self-explanatory, willem dafoe is cooking me up some bangers... One problem. I cannot figure out how to get a new dish once I finish the first one. I really tried to figure it out, but maybe I'm dumb. Clicking the existing plate or clicking the new one didn't seem to do anything.
Shove the empty plate away by holding click on the text box on the left!
My William Dafoe actualy remebered i have an oyster allergy. Cooked 10 meals whitout them straight.
Then probably got mad i havent paid for any of it and straight up decided to kill me. 16 dishes tho. Don't invite me to all you can eat.
Art was incredible. Those frying pans are so sharp. The meals itself was realy nicly done in terms of mechanics and art.

This game is so eerie, but fits the theme so good. The visuals and sound design are also really good. This is one of the best games ive seen in this jam so far, with its unique art style and fitting theme!
Oh I'm gonna remember this one long after the jam. This one just nails the uncomfortable vibe and everything from the visuals to the sound effects is made to emphasize this feeling.
I think the hunger bar is drained just a bit too quickly. After just a few dishes I was desparate and would take anything the chef would make. Just a minor complaint.

Thank you! our team enjoys working on gamejams, but this time bc the artist had less time we figured we could use a production similar to No I'm Not A Human to speed up our process:) which is basically photobashing with heavy contrast, exposure and painting on top.
I LOVE the visuals so much, and the concept of having to watch this man cook as you try to quickly eat is such a fun mechanic, I really hope you guys continue with this game in any way, shape, or form. Obviously it would be better with music, but I really think this has potential!

I have just replayed it! Great sound design! I also love the replayablity of new allergies you have to pay attention to, my first playthrough I got bread and this time I got crab. This is honestly one of the most creative submissions in the whole jam, and it was a delight to come back to it! I have updated my rating to reflect this :)
