How does the game fit the theme?
"Trust No One" made me think about making a game where people shouldn't trust you, so in 100% REAL you scam people by selling them bootleg collectible figures.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I recycled some code from my past games like the audio settings menu. The buying sound effect is also from another of my games.

How many people worked on the game?

Very amusing game.  Art, music, mechanics were great.  So easy to cheese the drawings and win.

I really enjoyed it, even though I can't say it improved my art.

This game is so good. The artwork was incredible (not including my drawings). I like how you don't reveal the image before you have already bought the colours but give hints in the messages of what to buy.

One of my favorite games of the jam so far, I feel like it could be expanded into an educational game to learn how to draw!

Developer

Let's just say some of the clients don't have much nice things to say for an educational game
Thanks for playing!

Nice game! I suck at drawing, but it was really fun.

Loved the game, found myself playing for a while really cozy

Great game, really relaxing to play. The ctrl + z is an amazing feature too lol

I was not expecting this, but it has become my favourite entry. I love the idea, the pixel art, and the overall execution. Plus, I really like drawing pixel art, so this game was right up my alley. Good job!

Interesting concept, but I can't draw at all :D

I love it! I burst out laughing the first time i pressed Ctrl+Z huhuhu. I love the simplicity in the style and gameplay, tho it's kinda hard to paint with white since the bg is almost white as well, hope we can adjust the bg color, but i guess its part of the chaos. Having the grid is super helpful tho. Really love the game!

I KNEW PEOPLE WERE GONNA TRY CTRL + Z

Thanks for playing!

You truly are an artist for the ages, Johnatan.

I like this is both a resource management game as well as a drawing game. I wish there were more hints about what the colors are gonna be as sometimes unexpected colors appear in the figure after buying the paint. Other than that, this was well made and the art is really good. Well done!

Holy cow, the algorithm here is insane. My first two attempts were rushed and I didn’t understand shit. Got 12%, 14%, thought I had it sussed, then I spent the whole 3 minutes and got 54%. In fairness, why would you waste time and paint early on before understanding it. I don’t even think you could buy a full palette.

Needs a fill tool. Ideally an undo, but hey, it does what it does very well.

Personal preference whether you want to invest time repeatedly drawing, but the templates are awesome.

Bit of a time sink. I don’t know if I’ll beat the target of $500, the fourth assignment is 4 minutes, and I wouldn’t want to spend another 15-25 minutes retrying. Finger painting has been done before and we get to play every time we jam; but with transferable tool-skills.

An impressive algorithm, immaculate art, entertaining story, could use more variety (but totally acceptable and expected in a jam entry).

I didn't add a fill tool, it was one of the first ideas but i liked watching players paint strokes as fast as they could to not waste time. You can buy the entire palette, but it's not convenient, i wanted to make a game where you have to juggle with the little resources you have, so i understand if it's quite annoying. You can always try again tho, there's 11 different figures to copy and it's pretty possible, there's also a little bit of luck in the mix, but thank you for playing!

Apologies if I sounded harsh. The art is amazing and worth peoples’ revisiting, if they have time.

My artist friend who's not taking part in this jam themselves played it and loved this so much, they urged me to try it too x)

Super hilarious! Amazing take on the theme XD The only thing I could complain about are the figurines that should contain white in them, very hard to tell apart from the background. Still, very well done there!

the graphics are awesome, and I can see that someone talented worked on this game. the idea is pretty cool too, but I think it's for more artistic people than me. i suck at drawing, and having to redraw such cool-looking art just to see how terrible I am was a bit of a pain in the ass. however, they paid me $125 for it

A very Fun and nice experience  , Great Job !

was fun painting with a mouse, definitely one of the more creative takes on the theme.

First game to nearly get a 5 across the board for me.

Really unique concept, absolute fire execution, excellent music, great visuals.

And it made me feel bad at digital art which is a MEGA PLUS!

only small thing is that the brushes sometimes don't "brush" well - as in, I'll click, and expect paint where I clicked, but the paint doesn't draw to the canvas - so that's the only 4 for me

really liked the vague color descriptions, that was amazing.

great game, and cheers!

oh and uh. im playing again. because I wanna know what "The Thing" is lmao

I really enjoyed this game! I felt bad ripping people off with my statues lol. I had a lot of fun trying to recreate the figures with my limited color pallet. Not gonna lie, some of the customers were a little untrustworthy too!! "pink hair and yellow stars" and then BAM black shorts and a brown purse?!  I was shocked lol. Very enjoyable game overall. Well done!
