How does the game fit the theme?
In a market full of scammers, you need to keep the market safe by reporting them.
You can't trust the sellers or the bank!
Can you even trust your own mom...
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All assets were made by our team, except the font, all code was made from scratch

this a pretty neat game and I love the art
i could play this game all day tbh, i love farmer games a lot
if you made this into an actual game, with tasks, quests, other npcs, i would honestly play it
loved it so much!!!!
Thanks for playing! :D
Cute game! Nice visual style, I really liked the top down view of the hat at the farm, really goofy.
Interesting idea, having to pay attention so shopkeepers don't scam you. I really like the idea, but for sure more could be added to it so it could be more complex. Maybe also have some consequences for reporting shopkeepers, like sellers not wanting to do business with you or maybe not wanting to give you secret hints.
I think the visuals are my favorite aspect of the game. And also, the gameplay is cohesive, it has a full loop. But it could be filled with even more!
Great to see some frame by frame animated cutscenes! Very cute style. I managed to deposit the 10,000 but I had a feeling I might get ripped off haha
Thanks for completing the game! could you also tell how long it took for you to complete the game, so that we can adjust the difficulty if needed.
If I had to guess I'd say about 30min...?
First off, I really like the art in the game, and having not just 1 but 2 cutscenes was really cool! The idea was quite creative, and it hit that fun incremental game feel. My main criticism though is that it feels like there's a lot of mechanics that don't add much to the game, like for example, I don't get why you made a whole inventory system with items you can drop and pickup when it's never relevant. I find it quite impressive how much you were able to make in the time, but I feel like it could've been more focused on one central idea. Still, it was quite fun and I think the main mechanic of reporting scammers was quite fun and satisfying and the game as a whole was really charming and fun, great job!
Thanks for the review! For most of us, it was our first game jam so we kinda planned a game way too big for the jam without thinking too much about it, the amount of features is a result of sleeping at 5 pretty much everyday along with multiple all nighters towards the end and some features feeling less integrated is also a result of not having enough time to make everything come together, I guess the main takeaway for all of us is to only plan around a central idea instead trying to make a full-fledged game with too many featuees 🥲.
Haha, yeah, that's usually the first jam experience! Still though that was great for a first game jam, I hope you guys keep at it :D
The opening was so cute! I love the art and music! I def got scammed too much. Very fun, very good. The ONLY improvement I'd suggest is: Please anchor your text. Text that appears character by character shouldn't shift the whole textbox to the left. it makes it very hard to read until its done typing.
Thanks for your review! I didn't see it from the perspective of a new player due to me already knowing dialogs, but that def sounds annoying. We'll definitely fix it in the morning!
