I didn't realize you used Scratch until I read the description. It's a really fun game.

fun game using scratch seemed like a good challenge it didn't seem to impact the quality, very fun.

super fun! I loved how the scaling worked and how you had to manage all the different things, money, food, and population. I also loved how you could unlock new things as you grew richer. Great work!

(No way, a scratch game.D) This game is fun. Taxing is overpowered, I've played it whole and got the "rich get richer" ending, managing food was a challenge, and the music is really chill, I've loved it.

I like city builders and this one was no exception. But I must ask, was this made in scratch?

Developer

Thanks ! Yes, it was made in scratch !

Submitted(+1)

thats actually extremly impressive, I've only ever used the scratch for like very small projects, but making a full game with it in a week, is realy cool

Submitted

It's a very good short city builder game!

Idk if it was only difficult for me at start or for everyone 😭 But overall pretty awesome!

Just rated it!

Such a fun management game!! I really wish there were more levels or ways to keep the game going! Maybe something like Tom Nook from Animal Crossing, constantly finding new ways to put you in debt? XD The game is genuinely addictive, but I made money too quickly and paid off everything before I was ready for it to end TT

I was also really curious about all the “useless” entertainment facilities and the $1000 resident satisfaction upgrade, since there didn't seem to be any actual satisfaction system yet (just wondering if there was secretly a hidden satisfaction stat... :0 ). The “useless” descriptions somehow started feeling more and more suspicious the longer I looked at them XD.

Anyway, really fun and addictive game!! I genuinely wanted to keep playing!

Developer

Thanks ! Yes, there is a hidden satisfaction stat that decides how mutch residents riot !

Submitted(+1)

Maybe I didn't trigger it because I loved buying all those “useless” facilities too much XDDD I'll definitely play again and see if I can make the residents riot this time XD

Very good for a solo game! I would suggest limiting the amount of options available at the start since it's pretty overwhelming, but it was a really solid little citybuilder!

Developer

Thanks ! I agree, it would be a good idea

Nice work :)

Hey! Nice game, visuals are simple but work really well. Other than the news of a riot being sometimes false, I didn't get any other instruction in my run. Overall good job!

This game is so cool and addictive. That every asset were made during the one week time, including the music, by only one person it's IMPRESSIVE. You managed to make a very chill and fun incremental city builder game, good job! I couldn't beat the game in my first run, I'll try again to pay the debt :}

Really fun and chill game! I enjoyed how the coin production and upgrades scaled over time.

Cool game. I liked the visuals and the music was really nice!

That was a quite fun game - I enjoyed how the coin production scaled overtime and how upgrades would make your life more convenient haha

Visuals are quite simple but they do the trick. It was a bit easy but I suppose it has to be so that people can play it in a reasonable amount of time during a game jam.

It was a fun experience!

The ending was unexpected!
I thought a few miscs are enough XD
Very chill game, I like it.
So many developed stuff is very impressive

It was a pretty nice experience!
I also liked the twist in the end, though other than that I don't think the game fit the theme pretty well.
A pretty interesting submission nonetheless!

simple but cozy city builder,
I found it to be pretty easy, would have been interesting if there was at least one resource that I should keep more attention on. Maybe finding ways to keep the citizens happy but they would be hard to please and and often demand new things, maybe even have the riot element be a bit more reoccurring. either way I enjoyed it!

Enjoyed this one, i was able to get into tourism early and make a ton of money and beat the game fairly quickly.   I liked the idea of some of happiness increasing items saying they were useless, and the residents breaking buildings but felt that it could have been pushed a bit further somehow regarding the theme, as i was able to easily outpace the destruction of buildings with monetary growth. I was impressed by how many things to buy there were as well. Great job.

This was fun, cozy, and I was hooked immediately. My absurd city at the end had 6 malls, 7 barns, an Eiffel Tower, a coliseum, and Big Ben. Even though I lost due to greed, I think I came out on top a winner! Nice job.
