How does the game fit the theme?
The theme is printed on a scrap of paper in the player's pocket: Trust, No One. The player should find the way out tricky, and the whole thing is based on Trust, No One!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
- VFX: The radio station tracks and the door and footstep sounds come from open-licence libraries.
- Images: All photographs on the wall were taken beforehand.
- Libraries: Three.js for rendering, Vite for the build.

I did really like this! There were some confusion with the instructions and everything but the nice atmosphere in the game kept me hooked until the end! Maybe the battery could have had a bit longer charge but it wasn’t too annoying to redo the puzzles a couple of times to have enough time to hear the full voice line.
Play-through with more feedback:
Thank you so much for playing it on video; that is really generous of you and so helpful. We will go through everything you said in it for the next update.
I want to mention that five minutes into REALITY (hard mode, the current mode that you played) unlocks GAME (easy mode), which has twice the battery and more hints along the way.
Thank you again!
I really enjoyed this. It had a very unsettling vibe. It must have been a lot of work getting this done in 7 days
Thank you! Unsettling was the aim, so that is good to hear.
Incredible entry! It felt like a dream at first because re-entering each room almost reset it, though they all had similar layouts, would have different colored walls or different items or different puzzles. The door knock freaked me out a bit and I got chills when it suddenly opened on its own. I was expecting some kind of jump scare but never got one, however I felt unsettled the whole time playing (first thing I did when entering a room was to turn on the light lol). I eventually did escape. I really enjoyed this one.
Thank you! There is one jump scare, and you walked straight past it! And you were right to be unsettled about that door. Something did come through it. Thanks again for playing!
Very cool game! I don't think I got very far, though. I restarted a few times because the battery kept dying.
I rebuilt the transmitter and it wanted me to speak into the microphone, but my computer doesn't have a microphone! LOL. Not sure how essential that part is. The battery died immediately after that, anyway.
Thank you! There is a "SAY SOMETHING" button for exactly that case, so no microphone is needed, but it only shows up a second or two after the set finds him.
If you fancy another go, five minutes in REALITY unlocks GAME. Same room and same ending, but twice the battery and a few more hints along the way.
Thanks again for playing!
I FINALLY BEATED THE GAME!!! I FINALLY DID IT!!! LETS GOOO!!! I REALLY ENOYED PLAYING THIS GAME. REMINDS ME OF FNAF 4 BUT JUMPSCARESFRIENDLY
Thanks for playing our game, and congratulations! You are one of the few who made it out. And the spider says thank you!
The game is awesome! Honestly, it’s one of my favorites from the jam. The graphics are really well done, especially considering you only had 7 days to make it. The atmosphere is great, and the secrets you can find are in plain sight, but they’re not so obvious that it makes the game boring.
In short, it’s fantastic. Great job!
We are so happy to hear that. Thank you! Hiding things in plain sight was the whole aim, so that is a very good thing to read.
It's a fantastic piece of work. Personally, my development team and I didn't plan to design this project in 3D for fear of finishing it, but I see that despite the limitations, you managed to integrate a huge number of features and mechanics. Integrated AI?...Awesome!
I like the low-poly environment; it speaks volumes about you as developers, and it perfectly aligns with the event's purpose: to allow the experience to be accessed via the web. I would have liked to see some introductory screens explaining the game and what to do at the beginning, without forcing the user to interact.
Otherwise, it's a great project, and it's a potentially enjoyable one for the future.
Thank you so much, it means a lot!
The first time you play it is REALITY, the hard mode. There is also GAME, an easier one that unlocks after five minutes in REALITY, with more hints and more explanation for anyone who gets stuck.
The low-poly room was partly the point, since every object in it is built in code rather than downloaded. And assistant.exe answers with hard-coded replies matched against what you type, then hands off to a tiny offline model when you go well off-topic.
Honest review:
Positives:
A simply magnificent game. Very enjoyable. Art, music, sound design were all excellent. Extremely polished. A lot of work for a 1 week game jam.
Criticisms:
I thought the ending was a little weak. Well done, boss? I was expecting a clever twist given the calibre of the rest of the game.
I don't think it fits the theme, but it could have. The player could have been given incorrect info by obvious sources and been made to dig deeper to unlock the truth behind the looping room.
Thank you for playing and for your kind words; it means a lot.
About the ending, I 100% agree with you. Because of the time limitation, we couldn't implement the ending that we wanted, but we have a plan for that; the whole game is just a concept, or the first scene of the one thing that we had in mind.
About the theme, it fits, but with a little trick: as you finish the game, you should have found the trick!
What? I thought you keep opening the door to the loop until the radio tells you to draw over the largest photo. That reveals the number to escape the room. Is there a secret ending I missed?
Let me ask you a question: What was your best time when you finished the game?
Best time? I finished the game once. I haven't replayed it. I thought there was only one ending.
Short answer: there is no other ending.
And I agree with you about it. What is there now is not what we wanted, and we have a plan to change it.
My point was the theme. I will not spoil it, but since you finished, the note says "Trust, No One", not "Trust No One". And you know who you were talking to on the transmitter.
I asked about your time because it gets written under the mode button on the title screen once you finish a run. It can be done in a few minutes, if you ever fancy another go.
A very moody adventure with a lot of character to it, and some unsettling results to mundane decisions. I particularly liked the inclusion of the radio, added a lot of atmosphere especially when it actually lost power, that was a cool touch!
Thank you! Glad that landed.
Your game really has the potential to be a great mind-bending puzzle quest. Great job! I loved the mysterious, dreamlike atmosphere, reminiscent of the first Max Payne.
Thank you! That means a lot; that's kind of you. We are so happy to hear that. A Max Payne comparison is not one we expected, and we will take it.
Really enjoyed playing, stayed for 20 minutes or so, then I was a bit stuck after I got the code
Thank you! Once you have the code, "Trust, No One"! I know you will find out...
Loved the game and its atmosphere! The AI on the computer was really interesting too — how did you make it? I’m really curious!
Thank you! That's kind of you. The assistant.exe answers with hard-coded replies matched against what you type, and when you ask something well outside those topics, it hands over to a tiny offline model, so the thing on the desk stays sharp either way. Our purpose was to make only the NPC smart.
Atmosphere is nice. Played for a solid 30 minutes lol. How did you even manage an AI in the game? Amazing work!
Thank you! We are honored that you spent thirty minutes there. The assistant.exe answers with hard-coded replies matched against what you type, and when you ask something well outside those topics, it hands over to a tiny offline model, so the thing on the desk stays sharp either way. Our purpose was to make only the NPC smart.
Could you rate my game too?
Loved the atmosphere!
Thank you! That is good to hear.
