One of the better game i have played in this jam. This apocalypse management sim is really good. You have to strategize better in order to win this. In my first playthrough i thought food replenish health and supply replenish energy, which is actually the other way around. That is why i lost, lol. The graphic can be better although it is already very good for jam scope. Also many buttons don't have sfx. And some things can be explained better like what is the benefit of the military and scholar. Nice job, man! I like this game.

How does the game fit the theme?
Players must investigate members of their tribe, compare their statements, and identify shapeshifters hiding among them. Since shapeshifters lie while humans tell the truth, every member becomes a potential suspect. Even after identifying threats, players must decide who to trust with limited resources, making trust and doubt a constant part of survival.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Everything made from scratch except for the face portraits.

Really like this concept, and the execution is really good!
The art is cool, and the audio's great too!
My only critique: locking the game to just one new shapeshifter returning per run makes finding them too easy (thanks to the marking mechanic, which is one of my favorite features!). I purposely executed a random human just to test out having 2 shapeshifters, and it was so much more fun. It was a real challenge!
Either way, this was one of my favorites from the jam! Good job!
Good ratings on innovation and theme from me! Excellent idea, nice art. The gameplay is actually quite complicated and stressful! I think making some environment and placing the characters there would help create the atmosphere, but overall very good entry.
The atmospheric music, consistent art style, and unique "Tribe Trial" village survival concept make this shapeshifter deduction game such a cool entry! Balancing daily villager management with nightly deduction puzzles to weed out impostors fits the "Don't Trust" theme super well and gives it strong board-game-style potential.
A few gameplay, strategy, and UX Polish ideas for post-jam updates:
- UX & Villager Selection: Streamline the villager selection and assignment UI so managing actions and running trials feels less clunky and faster to execute.
- Difficulty Scaling & Depth: Add a toggleable difficulty slider or introduce more complex shapeshifter traits/bluffing mechanics so late-game runs offer a deeper strategic challenge for veteran deduction players.
- Strategic Choices: Expand the 3 main villager actions with clearer trade-offs or resource management mechanics to give daily decisions more weight.
Solid concept with immense replay value! If you get a free minute, I'd really appreciate your feedback and rating on my solo jam entry as well: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4953523

Nice work on the game! The art style is really great and fits the tone of the game really well. The Tribe Trial mechanic is also unique and cool, I feel it would even make a good deduction board game. I can see this game has potential and would love to see where it goes if you decide to continue working on it.
Keep it up!
Music is really solid. The theme has a really good vibe to it. Gameplay has potential, but feels like it's not quite there yet. Basically you have 3 choices of what to do with your villagers, didn't feel a huge amount of strategy but admittedly my knowledge of the game is weak. then going through the finding of the shapeshifters each night is a decent puzzle. and the game is basically a survival to see how long you can last?
i can see the potential. If UX wasn't as clunky to pick villagers and do other things. Understandable on the short time line to make it.
the music is well done in this. The visuals look great too! Was easy to pick up and I feel like I could play it a few more times. Great job!
