How does the game fit the theme?
The player doesn't trust the doctors who are in the mental hospital, because if he has his schizophrenic episodes they sometimes attack him, so he tries to break out of there

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
None, for sounds i used BFXR but i don't know if it qualifies as not self made or does it

How many people worked on the game?

The paranoid medical setting where you can't tell which doctors are hostile until they strike fits the "Don't Trust" theme in a really tense, high-stakes way! Building out a full progression loop culminating in a massive doctor boss fight is a huge achievement for a solo developer.

A few combat responsiveness, UI feedback, and balance tweaks for post-jam updates:

- Attack Buffer & Movement Deceleration: Remove the post-movement delay before attacks can register so combat inputs feel sharp, responsive, and fluid.

- Threat & Health Feedback: Add clearer visual/audio cues for sudden high-damage attacks (so players don't die unexpectedly without seeing what hit them) and clarify the penalty state when accidentally attacking neutral doctors.

- Difficulty Tuning: Smooth out enemy attack patterns and boss health scaling so progression feels tough but fair.

Intriguing concept, great boss payoff, and solid solo effort! If you get a free minute, I'd really appreciate your feedback and rating on my solo jam entry as well: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4953523

There's some neat ideas here.

However, there's also 2 issues:

1) When you stop moving, there seems to be a short time interval when the character appears to have completely stopped already, yet you can't attack yet. This makes the game feel frustrating/unresponsive.

2) Sometimes I would suddenly die, despite not being low on health. That, too, makes the game frustrating.

I still played it for quite a while. I even got to the boss once.

Thank youu! for the feedback. and i'll look into those things

I do like the idea and really wanted to play the game further...
I kept losing.. the screen was red, I kill, then I still lost. not sure how to progress.

Developer

Maybe you killed those who didn't attack you, and the game is still not so easy to beat😭, i even had problems even tho i created it

Interesting concept, I can see how it fits the theme not knowing which doctors will attack you and and only being able to hit them at certain times.  You made quite a bit of gameplay too!  I managed to get to the giant boss doctor and beat him, which definitely took awhile.  Nice work!

The core setting sounded interesting, but I don't really get how it fits the theme of the jam.
