TRUST ISSUES: SELF-SABOTAGE's itch.io page

How does the game fit the theme?
Sometimes, we go through circumstances that force us to lose trust in everyone around us, but the heaviest burden of all begins when it evolves into losing trust in yourself.

This is why we chose this theme for our game; we decided to explore the quiet struggle of trust issues and self-sabotage that so many people endure in silence. The game starts by placing the player in a state of paranoia and constant suspicion toward their coworkers, mirroring this internal conflict. However, as the events escalate, they realize that the real crisis might actually stem from within.

Our goal wasn't just to build a puzzle game, but to deliver a message of support. We hope this experience reaches even just one person, letting them know they are not alone in feeling this way—that there are others who understand and share this exact struggle. Most importantly, we wanted to highlight that recognizing the problem is only the beginning, but the truly courageous step is talking to a specialist or a therapist to move past this phase and heal.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Really loved the art and the vibe of the game, and the music choice was great to add to the time pressure :D

Wow, this game is so cool!!

The UI interactions are so much fun!

As a programmer, I really love some of the effects and little interactions in the game, especially the little magnifying glass as the default cursor. It’s such a nice touch!

The game was pretty cool, I really liked the dialogues and the paranoid meter. It was kind of confusing at first, but when you get the hang of it it would be fun to play it. Great Job

I really liked both the concept and the music. It definitely creates an interesting atmosphere and fits really well with the idea of not trusting anyone.

I couldnt get payed properly this month... now i am broke and cant trust my colleagues.... joke aside, nice entry, good art; text could do with a speed up/skip animation but i guess this ties in to the timer induced stress. all in all well done :D

On theme with the Trust No One! Just a nitpick of the buttons - they were greyed out so at first I didn't see them, then I thought they were disabled so I didn't think to click on them until I wasn't able to get out of the screens I was in. Also when clicking one of the 4 icons at the top, there's no way to go back without getting out of the suspect's file. Other than that, nice job!

I think being able to skip the text appearing is very necessary. I also didn't really understand that we were supposed to be picking the right clue for each one. I guess I just expected to gather information from everyone and then pick the right clue for the right person. I also think being able to switch which clue you are looking at without going back to the previous menu would be nice.

Good job on this, art looks good. Theme was fairly solid.
