How does the game fit the theme?
The personalities you meet throughout the hotel are unreliable, and their directions or stories cannot always be trusted. Even the hotel itself is suspicious, the receptionist doesn't tell you the same name every time you speak to they.
But the idea goes further than simply having characters lie to the player. Nothing in the game is inherently trustworthy. Most importantly, you can’t completely trust the protagonist either. The character has multiple personalities. The environment can deceive you, the information you receive can be contradictory, and even your own perception becomes unreliable in the dark.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used Dialogic2 addon on godot for text boxes.

Love the art, sound design, and the texts! The humour throughout the game is really nice too.
The mouse controls are really cool as well.
Arg, I relaunched the game multiple times to try to progress despite the bugs, but each time I got stuck in a room or ended up looping through the Iliade notes pages... It’s really a shame that it’s not a bit smoother, because I think this game is really nice. The atmosphere is quite intriguing.
Good job overall for a game jam! I’d love to play it again if you plan to fix it up a bit!
Thanks, i really appreciate it. Some of us have been lightly working on bugs and rushed mechanics and potentially we will start working on it properly and release something better.

Overall, while the game feels like I’m being thrown in the deep end and could do with a bit of polishing, I enjoyed the gameplay quite a bit!
Heh, i am very glad i dropped in the couch encounter. Glad someone found it.
I'm aware of the many bugs and issues, i was the only coder and honestly it's the first time i've coded a complete game like this.
This jam version will stay the same but some of us are interested in reworking things and at least releasing a polished non rushed version of what we have if not add more content, which i could imagine doing because i really enjoyed doing dialogue and puzzle ideas.
I see, as a not very experienced coder myself it’s hard to make a fully coherent game by yourself (I made my first one for a different game jam and it was… interesting to say the least). It is helpful to keep scope in mind though so it’s not overwhelming.
I’d love to see a polished version of this =]
Thanks once again. The recent feedback has inspired me to get back into it.
I like a lot of the small details, but as others said there are quite a few issues with stuff. Try shrinking the scope into smaller checkpoints that complete a larger game rather than trying to do the whole adventure. Either way, I think the game is very interesting, and I enjoyed the 2d sprites. Good job devs
Thank you for the feedback. Noted!
Loved the humor hahahaha and the music is good too, nice work!
Thanks, really appreciate it!
I love the style and the audio in this game, though I think I got myself stuck in a room haha
Yeah i apologize, one of those test rooms that i thought i removed but appearantly did not. I handled almost everything that isn't art and audio so you can blame me.
I like the character animations in the game! The character kept getting stuck on corners while walking, would be nice if the pathing was a bit smoother. Love the sound effects and background music! I got stuck in a room, spent a few minutes there, couldn’t figure out how to leave or interact with anything? I think I need a hint haha
Thanks on behalf of the team. I'm part of the team and still not able to clear it. I guess will have to check with our dev 😉.
I did not fully get what I had to do but besides that his looks and sounds really great! It definitely gets across an untrustworthy atmosphere :)
