Okay this was a rather fascinating game. I love when games don't hand hold your hand but rather you have to do the work. I instantly got disco elysium vibes. Only thing I would add is using eerie voices to read out the cards!
I love this! Such a cool gameplay mechanic for interacting with a story. The art is also great! The demon tableaus remind me of tarot cards.
The most unique game of this Jam of all that I played! It's like a card deck builder game, but the cards have stories. I didn't fully understand some of it, and I am gonna replay it to get a better idea, but the vibe and the style were really cool and memorable!
This is such a great idea, I love the juice of the cards shuffling and being played, as well as the general art style and gameplay loop. The ambient audio is also a really nice touch.
My only real complaint is that the dialogue box seems to disappear suddenly before I get a chance to read the conclusion of each card, which is a bummer because I DO really like the writing!
Sooo unique! 😮 The card + visual novel mix is such a cool idea, and the art/UI look amazing. A tiny explanation for the cards would help, but overall really polished! 🔥
Really cool and interesting game. I can see how people are going to love this. the art style and audio are super!
I didn't really understand what the purpose of each card and what do I get from choosing that specific one compared to the others. it would be better if there would be some kind of explanation before starting the game hehe
But apart from that the game is very polished and really good. I did enjoy playing it even though its not really the kind of games i'm usually going for. but its really cool and I liked it.
congratulations on your game and good luck!
Really interesting gameplay concept, where you combine a visual novel with card based choices that lead to different situations and progressions. It fits the theme really well. The UI and art especially stand out, and the music intro is very cool too! Nice presentation! Overall, great job with the design!
This is so cool. I really like the concept of the game. The artstyle is really good and the story is very interesting. Great work :)
I'm not usually much of a Visual Novel kinda gamer but this was genuinely pretty fun! The writing on this game is insane, I found myself getting hooked to each of the characters and what happens next. I also have the urge to just replay the game to just see what kinda outcome I can get if I choose different things which is really good! Though the transition between a "rock" heavy music in the main menu to silence in the game itself felt a bit jarring xD. Like I was expecting some sort of action packed thing but it was more of a fun chill (sometimes eerie) visual novel which was cool! The visuals are awesome, I love the art for every character and just the background in itself. I also love the sound effects with each cards getting flipped and shuffled, it felt so satisfying!!! Overall, this was a fun one, its awesome that you guys finished this in 1 week as well! Great work!!!
Creative use of card play and very nice intro! The visuals are really fitting to the game too.
very nice art and UI! Music and intro sequence into the menu is super cool.
KILLER Art style!!
Not to mention the presentation if OFF THE CHART!!!
Wow... Just wow
This is really amazing! The intro got me hooked.
The UIs are clean and the sound design was great, gives off ALTER EGO (a mobile game) vibe.
And the music... The music and ambience were insane I love the museum and the metro background noises so much
The lore is abstract but surprisingly easy to understand, the character designs are also interesting and is very intuitive on what they represent or how to handle them. And the writing is PHENOMENAL, like this is the most well-written and well-made game I have ever seen in this jam.
Congrats on nailing the theme and the atmosphere, I really love this game.
Really interesting game!! I loved all of the artwork! The story and atmosphere somehow made me feel like I was playing a Call of Cthulhu scenario XD
The story is really rich too, and I found myself almost addicted to discovering every single card just to see what would happen next!
I also really loved the sound design, especially the sound of drawing cards. Everything feels incredibly smooth and satisfying!
Artworks are stunning! It has such a strong personality.
The text/UI is really polished, and the sound design is really cool too.
I was a bit lost at first about how the game works. I really like the fact that it mixes cards and storytelling. I’m a big fan of card games, but I’m not usually that into narrative games, so this was an interesting mix for me.
Very beautiful visuals!
Creative way of storytelling
Very well done
this game might have the best artstyle out of all the games i've played yet! i'm not a really big fan of visual novels, but this one was good enough to keep me engaged all the way through, this is super well made!
Amazing game ! I love the visuals and the idea !
Amazing work. Loved the artstyle, amazing gameplay and really cool concept
Never seen using cards to progress through the story, and it's well executed too. But I didn't know that my stats are changed or is even there until like the mid game (maybe making it look more obvious would be better). It's really interesting.
