The Biggest Challenge
The biggest challenge was turning my ideas into an understandable, genuinely interactive cooking game rather than a collection of attractive visual effects. The jam’s time limit was also unreal. I initially worked with Astra but hit my usage limits too quickly, so I moved to Sol. Given the scope of my imagination—and the long waits between prompts—I feel like I’m shipping something a little half-baked. Compared with my previous attempt at making a game with AI, this project made it clear that an ambitious concept like this needs more breathing room. I would have liked to have a deep pass at the writing and will try to polish this game up after the jam. It was really fun and really challenged me!

AI Tools Used
OpenAI Codex: GPT-5.6 Sol and Suno

Areas Where AI Was Used
AI did all the programming, debugging, responsive/mobile implementation, visual asset generation, dialogue and narrative iteration, gameplay prototyping, interface design, and music generation. I supplied the creative direction, themes, characters, references, editorial decisions, and extensive hands-on playtesting.

Cyberpunk! I was drawn to this world—it's exactly my beloved style✨

At first, while playing through the opening novel section, I thought, "Is the scene where I make curry also in novel mode?" But then, during the pot scene, I was surprised to find that the gameplay actually involved adding ingredients and cooking them.

And the COOL & SOOTHING MUSIC that sticks in our ears is fantastic. I also love the sound effects, like the sound of a spoon.

Overall, it was a wonderful gaming experience. 🙂

The atmosphere is excellent. Both the artwork and the audio are very well crafted.

Making curry in a cyberpunk setting was a unique experience—a series of unpredictable events.

Thank you so much for playing and the kind words!

It was a really unique and wonderful blend of cyberpunk style, stunning and atmospheric graphics, and the action of mixing curry together!

I only had time to play until the first customer showed up, but that cyberpunk atmosphere with the 'end-of-humanity' curry was so cool! Really wish I could've spent more time playing it!

Thanks for playing, I am going to try polishing it up after the jam.

Very nice art. I liked the music and the dialogue. Novel games aren't really my thing, personally, but I can see this was well done and would appeal to a lot of people. Good work!

Loved the art style.

I've tried to make narrative games with AI and it's really hard to get the writing correct. I felt a few of those tell-tale ticks ("mannered prose").

I found this somewhat effective and making AI write like a normal, sane human being:

But I gotta say I really liked the music / radio interraction and the world you're building here.

Oh tell me about it, especially with ChatGPT he is really incapable of unique, interesting, or readably human dialog. I plan to take a pass on the text, the ending also needs a full fleshing out, I just rushed to have a complete package for the jam. I wanted to focus on making the cooking mini game feel good although it also needs loads of work still as well. But thank you for playing! Making the advert/govt sponsored music was my favorite part!

I could really feel the care put into the world and the sound design. The English was also easy to understand, which I appreciated.

I first tried playing on my phone, but some controls were difficult, so I switched to PC. Overall, it had a really nice atmosphere!

Thanks so much for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed the vibes! It was instructed to make it playable on mobile, but I haven't tried it yet so it definitely will need some tweaking on my end. Thanks for the feedback!
