Love the Rain World inspiration! Though I think your game is even more unforgiving! Still really fun and I loved the art style and music.

Developer (1 edit)

I made this game inspired by Rain World, where there's nothing that tells you what something does or what you need to do. I intended for the player to learn what each thing does by playing and to come up with new strategies using what they learned in previous games, so they could either beat the game or survive as long as possible. Also, this game wasn't made to be played quickly—I wanted the player, after discovering the traps, to move more carefully through the map and pay more attention to the details. But I appreciate everyone who played.

Awesome graphics and music / sounds, I love the intro and the protagonist's sprite, the animation is very cool. That said I have the same issue as other people, I was very confused about what was going on, didn't know what I was supposed to do, didn't know what killed me, yet somehow it was still fun to play and I enjoyed it!

I think this is really close to being really good, maybe I just wasn't quite getting it but I could never seem to actually get the weapons to hit some enemies? Otherwise though, I love the fluidity, I love your animations, and your music is incredible. Favourite music so far

The controls feel really satisfying. Even just moving around and jumping feels great, and I also really liked the art style.

It took me a little while to understand what was going on, though. Everything moves pretty fast and the objectives aren't always very clear, so a bit more guidance at the beginning could help a lot.

The animations and smoothness of the game were top notch! Everything else was good too. Great work!

What a fever dream of a game. Had some fun playing with it although it was a bit challenging and hard to understand.

I loved the art and sounds where good fitting. I could keep playing if I wanted to!

Phenomenal art and sound, and I absolutely adored the intro cinematic. I had some trouble figuring out what was going on. I think the townsfolk were collecting the stuff I looted from backpacks, and eventually that summoned an enemy in a hood. I threw an arrow at him a couple dozen times, but I died before it did.

Cool aesthetics but I had a lot of the same issues as other players with feeling unsure of what was going on and things overall being a bit too busy for my taste.

Often too much going on to understand what is happening. Part of the problem is the four colour limit.

It’s a crazy game—I like it!

That said, I couldn't really beat it; it’s just too hard to tell what’s going on. The visual style is nice enough, but during gameplay, everything blurs into a jumble, making it difficult to figure out what’s actually happening on screen.

I never managed to get the hang of the combat, either: a black enemy takes three spears to defeat, but if I throw just one, I’m left defenseless. I also didn't understand the point of the rectangular birds—there were times when swarms of them were just darting all over the screen.

Really great graphics, I feel like there is too much time spend on things that are not that important while core gameplay is hard to understand and pretty weird (for me of course)

Crazy intro, banger soundtrack. Enjoyed it.

Probably one of the quirkiest game I played so far. Feels like good old times when you booted up a flash game, did not know english, and had no clue what happening, while still having fun.

I feel like gameplay wise the game would benefit from being player for a longer time just so you understand all the rules and happenings of the world, so you could enjoy it to the fullest. The game is fun, but most if my deaths came down to “what happened there”. Skill issue, i know.

Grahpics wise the game has a cool charm to it and honestly looks great! SFX and music is well done, the main ost has a cool bop to it.

Big idea, well executed, maybe the quirkiness is working a bit against it, but lovely work with it.
