How does your game meet GBJam's theme
I made the "old gold" a legendary treasure that you must earn through solving Nonograms to get! It is supposed to be untold priceless riches, or maybe piles of gold coins, or a rare jewel. Well whatever it is, the Druidgrams (Druid Nonogram Masters) value it above all else...

That was awesome. Love nonograms. Even learned a bit about its history :) Wish there was more!
I love nonograms
That was pretty cool, I really liked the tileset, especially the bricks. Cool concept, had no idea what nonograms were until now but I solved the first one. The second one I thought I was pretty dang close to doing, but seems I was missing something. Cool concept, and I love the art for the text boxes and all that, very neat.
I love nonograms so I'd definitely agree that the treasure was worth it, lol! The art is awesome, my only criticism is that it would be better if Pix changed facial expressions, it would add more emotion to the whole reveal at the end.
Really liked playing this one! I'm a fan of puzzle games, this was a good find!
Loved the pixel art and music! The characters are really cool.
Congrats!!!
I like the twist :) Agree with others that more nonograms would be awesome. Art work is also amazing. Good job! :)
Fab, love nonagrams though it took me way too long to get the second one! Art was great, BGM fit the vibe and was enjoyable even on a long loop! Solid premise and theme, would love to see more puzzles!
That was really fun! Wish there were more nonograms, though..
As a GameBoy nonograms enthusiast, I knew I had to play this when I saw it! I played this on stream today (recording here) and had a good time with it. The graphics are nice and I enjoyed the dialogue, though I was hoping there would be more puzzles. Good job!
Thank you so much!! Also damn I am such a big fan of your gamboy nonogram game (I am stuck on 109 but soon...I will prevail). It's actually what inspired me to make a nonogram game in the first place! I am planning on actually finishing the game some day (more nonograms and a third Druidgram). I am so glad you enjoyed!
Wow, I’m so glad to hear my game was able to inspire someone else to make a game! Looking forward to seeing the finished game, and good luck with puzzle 109! 😄
Really interesting palette choice, and the portraits look fantastic. They give the game a lot of personality.
"It's not even a first edition", lol.
As someone who enjoys Picross, I really liked this game. Pixel art is top notch, and the puzzles, while easy, were very fun to play. I also enjoyed the dialogue.
I'm a bit puzzled at the decision of core gameplay loop here. I think there's top notch graphics and character design, but the nonograms feel like they just "exist" as well. Still, I like the characters and world building and hope to see the characters' stories told in more detail. Consider looking at the Zero Escape series if you need some basis of inspiration for future development.
As someone who’s pretty bad at nonograms, the second puzzle gave me a bit of trouble xddd. I really liked the ending and the figures that were revealed. The theme and atmosphere were very original, and the visuals are really cool :)
Good thing I played picross before the jam, otherwise I would have been a bit confused on what exactly I have to do. I really enjoyed the 2 nonograms and the character sprites and ending were very cool too!
I am a big fan of nonograms and have played a bunch including on gameboy, so I blasted through this in a couple minutes. I think it is really impressive to have put together a nonogram system in such a short time! The art is wonderful and full of character and I would absolutely play an expanded version.
I have never done a real nonogram in my life before this. I did the first one no problems, but I managed to pull of the second one and I felt like a genius. That was pretty fun! A very interesting and engaging way to add context to nonograms. I also really loved the art style. Beautiful!
The art here is absolutely gorgeous. I am too pea brained to solve the second puzzle, but the game is very cool! It would be good to include a tutorial or text at least of nonagrams rules. I was unfamiliar. Great job!
Nooo your not pea brain! I made the nonogram puzzles myself and didn't do a lot of beta testing (forcing my partner to replay my game over and over), and the last puzzle turned out harder then I intended. A tutorial is a good idea! I will link one in the game page!
as a fellow nonogram enthusiast, i'd love to play a full version of this! the art is really cute, i'm a big fan of the bushy beard guy's sprite
Thank you!! I was playing so many nonograms games recently its all I could think of as the main gameplay loop. The bearded guys sprite is also my favorite. I am obsessed with how I got his eyebrows to wiggle.
It took me a while to solve the second one, but at least there’s a nice soundtrack
The plot twist at the end definitely had its moment
:DThank you so much! Especially for the song compliment. When I was making it I listened to it for so long on repeat that it just became noise. I was worried that anyone who heard it might be driven immediately insane haha.
