Very good looking module! It feels like some of the text might be a bit too small to print, but the content seems solid enough for a small campaign.

Terrific submission. There is such an immense amount of content crammed into the space and all the content is top notch. The "Restore the Blade" requirements are very fun. I am also a big fan of the map illustration—I love when maps are more than a 2d representation of a geographical space.
If I had to offer any critique, I do feel some of the art has too much detail—just extra lines that confuse the eye as I search for the important details.

Appreciate the critique and kind words, I definitely need to tidy up some of the art for readabilities sake, thanks!

Top notch graphic and clean, direct text work for an adventure rich of flavour and with many good ideas. Will play

Incredibly visually striking. Really phenomenal layout. A lot of cool ideas in here too.

I have one small nitpick visually. The little specs are cool but I might suggest going through and erasing them in the spots where they intersect with letters. It makes it (very slightly) harder to read at points. For example, on page 3 I kept reading location 5 as “Fusit Rock” instead of fusil.  Not a huge deal, but since everything else is so polished it stuck out to me.

thanks for the feedback! haha yes, I know what you mean, I re-read my submission and thought I had  a typo with 'fusit' as well. Definitely needed another pass before posting.

Very fun! I like the design, particularly how you show somebody holding the map; that’s pretty fun and I haven’t seen it done before. Overall, great work! (also nice to see a fellow “volcano as climax setting” submission!)

I loved this submission. The quest to restore the sword, which by achieving different parts allows you to keep one of the hydra's heads at bay, is chef-kiss.

All around charming visual presentation and easily understandable writing. I also love how you present the region map. Would be a fun adventure to run. Plus points for dinosaurs!

This rules, charming in the best way and the way the sword works in conjunction to the hydra, so rad! Would be insanely fun to play through.

This slaps. The illustration of the barbarian looking at the map with a wizard on his shoulder is my favourite ilu of this jam. I would have liked a bit more detail in the key but given the space constraints you nailed it.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! If I can find the time I'd like to do an expanded version with a beefed-up key, cleaned up illustrations and  in-depth notes on the islands/ story. Hopefully one day I can get back to it!

Gorgeous art and layout. You did an efficient job at breaking down all the information into fun little chunks.

I just wish we had more info on all the islands. As far as I can tell, the cultist temple is the only keyed area, and the notes are pretty loose for the other islands. I could have missed it, but I wish there were more places to learn about what’s really going on with the Basalt Edge getting stolen? Mostly, I wish it was listed where the blade actually rests.

Enough with nitpicks! I really like the d6 roll for the Trade Trawler, I love those kinds of simple but genius design choices! And I love the list of quests the players must do to reawaken the Blade and keep the heads asleep. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Yeah I think I needed to key the temple or key the islands, it definitely was a struggle for space. If I committed to just the point-crawl I think it might have solved some of the feedback I've been receiving, something to consider next time. Thanks for the critique and the kind words!

A fun, charming adventure with that surprised me by winning me over as I read it. The way you present the map made me grin. Great design choice. Tempering the blade is a fun mechanic that gives PCs a variety of goals that can be completed in any order.  A concise way to add a lot of interactivity and provide lots of choices

Developer

I'm always worried I'm designing too linear so I tried to throw in some different situations that could spark some choice from players, thanks for noticing!

This looks stunning! Great artwork and choice of colors.

Phenomenal job! Pretty sure you could run an entire mini campaign set in this zine alone!

Wonderful art that made me chuckle more than once, and fantastically usable maps as well. I love this!

Appreciate the kind words, glad to hear I was able to get a chuckle or two!
