I really enjoyed the music in this one! My favorite detail was how each new enemy adds another instrument to the soundtrack, so the music becomes richer and more intense as the fight gets harder. That is a really cool way to connect progression, gameplay, and presentation. Some enemy combinations did feel a little unfair though haha. When several laser patterns overlap at once, there are moments where very little safe space remains and it feels difficult to react rather than simply challenging. A minimum safe gap, clearer attack telegraphs, or some limits on overlapping patterns could make those moments feel fairer.

Use of the limitation
In theory if you are good at timing you can match the frequency of a crystal and shatter it, so the timing is everything for advancing by matching the rythms of the crystals.

i like the fact that your enemies can protect you a bit lol, i never quite got the timing but i did get a bit far. the art is cute, i liked the sound design also,
It’s fun to play; the concept involving laser mechanics and their synergies with enemies is interesting—I haven't seen anything like it in other roguelikes so far, and overall, the game is well-made.
However, that limitation isn't really utilized effectively.
I hadn't a lot of time to make a good tutorial, each enemy type (Rubis, Citrine, etc) has an instrument and a rythm playing on top of the music, that's why they pulse in a rythm.
If you shoot them in rythm, you inflict them damage, if you don't match the rythm you won't do any damages.
You can succeed by spamming the shoot but most of your shots will do nothing, I also disabled the penalty when it's a wrong shot (not in rythm) otherwise casual players would have a too much hard time.
Nice game, with a cool concept and aesthetic ! I have maybe two things that bothered me:
- On the introduction, there were no indication what action the timing must follow. Is it when you must shoot an arrow ? Or time to match the impact on the crystal ?
- The white diamond seemed off-beat compared to the others, I don’t know if this was intentional
The idea of enemies reflecting lasers off each other in a bullet hell is amazing, I wish you could push them around with shots to try to keep the lasers away from you or something...
The art is really clean too
