Hi!

There are games where the art direction immediately tells you that you're about to experience something more experimental than a conventional game. Something whose purpose is to tell a story rather than necessarily get you hooked on a mechanic.

Your game made me feel something deeply personal. The flutes and strings create such a familiar atmosphere... there's a powerful sense of calm in there.

I think this might be one of the most honest games in the entire jam, if not the most honest. It's something where I don't sense the intervention of a machine. Instead, I feel a genuine human emotion.

I'm not going to lie, though: that sofa was incredibly frustrating, and I feel like it was an obstacle that could have been avoided. I really struggled to reach the bookshelf and the broom. But then again, somehow, even those little imperfections added to the magic of the experience...

It's not easy to make coming home feel like something magical, but you managed to do exactly that for me. I was genuinely moved by your work, your honesty, and the beautiful little moment you gave us through this game.

Reflecting on my experience, I also think we should take the "NO AI" rule more seriously when it's explicitly stated. I feel like I was too lenient with myself in that regard, and your game made me realize that I need to be more responsible about it in the future.

It was such a sweet coffee break with Marinna!

Thank you for this.

This game is adorable

- title screen is SOOO CUTEE

- the music is instant DDLC vibes and it makes me melt

(title screen music doesnt loop though- intended or not ^^, the others do tho!)

- the transitions are so smooth and polished :o

- romance novels mentioned

- why is 50 s in there T^T

- the walking sleep feels a tiny bit slow at times-

- U CAN PET THE CAT

- genuinely, the animations might be very simple- just having 2 frames- but it adds so much life to the scene, not to mention its already a very cozy room (love the art!!!!!)

- this is something very tedious in these typa games, but when you already have one or the other of the 2 objects you need, the dialogue can sometimes talk like you still need said item. it could be a nice touchup to go through it all but for the jam itself i understand the struggle T^T

- the changelogs are a nice addition, i might have to consider that myself!

- such a sweet ending (id love an ending CG cus i can only imagine how cute it'd be >v<)

really nice game, nothing to add tbh, it has a start and an end, i liked it!

As others have said the game has a really nice cozy vibe to it where the gameplay, music, and art style blend perfectly together. My main issue with the game is the collision and that it was hard to press some buttons. But overall, great job :)

Gotta admit it's refreshing to look at high res antialiased stuff after so much pixel art.

The pathfinding collision bonk made me laugh.

Screen transitions were creative. Lot of polish in the UI.

Only issue I had was the pulsing color/intensity hover indicator is a little strong for my eyes, mostly on the fireplace's lighter value color and how much screen space it has, compared to like the key.

I started playing Sam & Max Hit the Road recently, and back then they used a different mouse cursor texture to indicate hovering over interactable, but you have to right click to switch "mouse interact modes" like look at, talk to, grab, etc. These old adventure games made some *interesting* UI/UX choices... But sometimes I wonder if it's all too homogeneous now.

Well, you made a very clean foundation for a point-n-click adventure game in two days, and most of your own assets to boot. Another solid K-Embee jam game.

Cute game, but I struggled to move past the couch to get the broom in the beginning, everything else felt very nice and smooth.

Cutest “Not moving, creepy smiling, sliding” protagonist! She’s awesome. You really hit the cozy vibe with the gentle music, the fireplace, cat & rain outside. Really well done, bravo!

A nice little game! I really liked the textures, the sound design (the music changing when it starts raining was a lovely touch), the little story about the witch, and the adorable cat. Overall, it’s a really atmospheric little game about a witch =D

Hi, just played your game.
I don't get lost playing the game, the hints are very helpful.
Mitten is just so adorable ><
Would like to cuddle it irl fr.

I really like the art from the UI to the sprites, simple but very original -- Kudos for you and your gf!
