Fonts: Jersey 10, Noto Sans Symbols 2, Bangers (SIL OFL). Art: pixel art generated with PixelLab AI, edited by me in Aseprite. Code written with help from Claude. All game code, level design and the 8/16-bit chiptune tracks were made during the jam.

The graphics are amazing and fit very well together, the sound effects and music were good, the intro screen felt almost professional in terms of art, I also liked the intro story and animations, you did very well, for the gameplay I wasn't too sure if it was me being bad, but I couldn't reach any checkpoint, so I had to start at the beginning every time, I also liked that it moved itself, I only had to worry about the jumps and hooks, very good entry! :)

Oh about the check points! Normal mode is tough and in this kind of games its noramal to die and repeat😅 Each level has a lantern checkpoint about halfway, so once you pass it you’ll restart from there. If you’d like a gentler run, try EASY on the title screen: same places, a friendlier path. I’ve also just updated the camera so it’s calmer and you can see the spikes coming earlier, which should help too.

I absolutely love the art style! The pixel art is incredibly detailed and immersive, while keeping that lighthearted, playful charm that reminds me so much of classic indie games from the 90s. The music is fantastic too, perfectly matching the visuals and really making you feel like you're playing on an old-school console. Everything comes together to create such a lovely retro atmosphere. Definitely an experience I'd recommend!

Amazing graphics and SFX, and so many chickos has been sacrificed to some jumps XD.
The camera after a long jump can be tricky for the first time, I can suggest maybe if the character so much time in air the camera can go back and have a wide angle to include the ground.

Thank you so much! 😊 Your camera idea was spot on, so I built it: the camera now zooms out a bit when you're in the air for a long time and looks ahead for the ground. It's live in today's update. Give the big drops another try, and fewer chickos should get sacrificed 🐔😂
(But honestly I still feel something is off… must do more testing)

I loved the little rage bait parts where the spring would throw you in to the spikes.
Had just tiny issues with the camera lingering after jumps too high so when I landed a jump and there were spikes ahead I had no time to react to them after I saw them so had to just memorize the part and jump without seeing basically. Other than that a really good entry for the jam!

Your game is just excellent. I normally don't stay and play game jam games too long but yours had me hooked. See what I did there.
Graphics are top notch. Music and sound effects are perfect. I only played on EASY but I still had some trouble.

Nice job! Aesthetics is really awesome! I wish I was better in such types of games, but I lost couple of time in normal and switched to easy just to play longer and check more of the gameplay :)

Wow, I love the visuals! One thing that was very frustrating early on was, that the camera is too slow at some places and I ran into knifes or a wall because I couldn't react fast enough (because I didn't see what's coming).
Other than that: nice game! ✨
I ran into an issue trying to play the game directly in the browser, but the overall atmosphere and visuals are wonderfully pleasant! I found the gameplay quite challenging—though that might just be a skill issue on my part. I really enjoy the variety of themes and the effort put into the game's ambiance.

Woah loved the game and its quite quirky especially the hen. Love the UI and great work on the sound design!
Amazing game coming from a person who doesn't usually play platformers but a few things I noticed and experienced are the following:
-In normal mode second level there is a bug where after reaching the end of the level there is a kernel right at the end of the path which is not registered as an actual kernel and makes it impossible to 100%.
(Which was pretty frustrating but not a major problem if you're not a perfectionist)
-In normal mode (once again) this might be a nit-pick from me but the orcs and goblins in the background feel like they're out of place and not in a certain order and the table isn't connected between them but its not that big of a deal.
(if this was intended then ignore my comment on that XD)
Somethings I would've loved to have is getting to retry from the checkpoint after finishing the level if I missed a kernel or egg from the second part of the level.
To end it off I completed every level and its genuinely a fun game, it reminded me of childhood games like Rayman Legends (unironically) and Geometry Dash which is what this is inspired from.
Would recommend to anybody who wants to have fun playing a short platformer! (And friends obviously)

Loved the fact you went with controller support. I know you have it clearly marked in the description to use E, but man that come at you really fast the first time. Was not ready for it. Nice job.
