I thought this jam was supposed to be comfy 😭. All jokes aside, the music and atmosphere was great, it's rather spooky only being able to see in front of you in a top-down view, and the cornman having his own music when he is close is a great touch, well done!

This was fun! Played the multiplayer mode with my friend. It's nice that the music warns the player if the corn man is close. I had some trouble finding the candies, so a hint or a cue might be good? Loved the opening splash screen too haha.
I really like how the music changes when you are near the Cornman. But the main issue I have is the maze is too big and there's very limited view available, so it's hard to navigate around and find the candy. Maybe some sort of indicator that a candy is nearby?
WOOO~ That was fun!

Especially the multi-player! It's amazing that you were able to add that in the game jam. I really, really tried my best to find the candies in the corn maze but I only managed to get one and Cornman immediately appeared!
I like how use audio to help the player know that Cornman is nearby. Maybe you can also give a cue when you are near a candy? Like the candies make some sort of sound that you can follow. It's quite a big maze and I was thinking maybe you applied the Limitation by changing the maze and you don't notice it.
My favourite character was Chiffer! He's so cute ( •̯́ ₃ •̯̀)
The music was as sssuuuuper super cool, I was boping my head on it all along xD
I played solo and maybe the main issue I got with your game wouldn’t be an issue at all in a multiplayer setting, but I felt like the maze was waaaaay too big, and it caused multiple problems:
I walked 10 minutes (at least) before I found my first candy
the enemy was super easy to avoid
it felt quite empty overal
impossible to notice changes in a space that big where everything look so similar :/
all of those would’ve been avoided with a small map, and the corn would’ve feel way more like a threat!
Now, I really enjoyed the art direction, it felt silly in the best way possible, and there is potential. Also I liked being able to choose my character even as a solo player! lastly, it was ambitious to make a multiplayer game in 2 week and I respect that 🫡
Pretty nice maze! I kept finding myself walking in circles. I really liked the change in music when the cornman comes for you. When I played the multiplayer game, I didn’t realize you had to take your candies back to your bag at first, but then I eventually got the hang of it. It’s really cool that you included 2 gamemodes!
Very cool having local multiplayer! And thanks for thinking of us friendless folks and giving us CPUs to play against lol. Seriously though, I'm glad I got to try the battle mode. It reminded me a lot of classic Bomberman, only with the added challenge of collecting and turning in candy. Had a lot of fun with that! The maze was pretty fun too, although that cornman sure made things difficult lol. Cool little game!
Fun submission for the autumn theme!
Sadly I couldn't test the multiplayer, but I added some points as it looks fun.
It took me surprisingly long to find my first candy but maybe that was skill issue probably :D
Im sure it was not intentional, but for me it was a bit creepy the player view haha, sorry it gives such a uneasyness that i believe gives and extra experience while playing it, while i was turning around it got me a suprise the corn sneak up on me. had a lot of fun playing this!
Extra points for a local coop! A bit rough, but the fun is there!
I find the game kinda funny. Good work.
In my gameplay the cornman got bugged and stucked to walls, but I was able to end the game anyways
Also, the vision is kinda OP. Being able to look through walls is very strong and I feel that it was okay to have it. I don't know if playing it with "regular vision" where the cone gets cut on walls and corners would've been better.
And the multiplayer addition is cool!
The only thing I felt weak in relationship with the jam was the limitation. I only saw 1 wood wall appearing from nowhere, but overall nothing seems to change when we can't see.
