This is a really neat way of telling a story. Making us choose and then learn about the consequences after. I had to run it through a few times to get more context on the others. I hope you take the premise and expand on it!

nice first part!

had a hard time understanding what killed me instantly,*
left more than one pople alive.

The choices you had to make at the beginning was great. I was torn with who to choose. I died almost immediately after each round, haha. Super-cool concept.

The ethical dilemma in the beginning was cool. Wish it felt like it had more of an impact. Game needs some polish.

The starting was very interesting! I wish the entire game was based more on that. Shooting could have been skipped as the concept you had could be taken forward!

The core idea is cute, but the execution feels completely neglected. The player has zero movement and is just locked in place shooting, while enemies slide toward you without even a basic walking animation. Because you cannot move or reposition at all, avoiding hits is impossible. It feels unpolished and very rushed.

I liked the ethical dilemma in the beginning, wish it had rounds of this 'cause it is an interesting idea!

Fast little things, got to me twice!

Having to make a difficult choice at the beginning was an interesting dilemma! Unfortunately I found the nighttime gameplay too frustrating with no way of knowing if somebody was getting close when they could come from all directions.

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing!

Fair point with the nighttime, it was a bit of a gamble if players would like it or not. It is supposed to feel like
Nighttime really was/is difficult, but I wanted the feel of panicky looking around, because they can come from all angles. I guess the sound hint was too weak/hard to read.

But I'm glad you like the first part :D

Btw did you try not shooting 5 people at the first stage?

I enjoy shooters like this but think it really would have benefitted from having proper movement. Something as simple as defending the saloon would have made it more interesting as being locked in place gets quite dull after about a minute. A bit unforigving since there really is only one sound that indicates the ghosts are near and you die to one hit so I think some minor balancing tweaks would have also made this better. Overall I liked the concept and what the dev tried to do but it definitely requires way more polish and fleshing out.

Hey thanks for playing!

The shooting part was more of an afterthought to make it overall more "spooky" for a halloween game jam, so I just went along with what I had already, but I really like your idea about defending the saloon.

For difficulty, I agree going against all 5 can be challenging, but you kinda choose your own difficulty depending on the first part.
